Yep, me too, snacks 3X/day, I think it's one of the things that keeps me on plan. Especially if it's that TOM, I really want to munch all day, so I just do it. For that couple of days, I don't eat meals, just snack all day long. Of course they are planned snacks, reasonable amounts, things that fit into my healthy eating plan. One of the quickest ways for me to go off plan is to get too hungry!

Hi! Another vote here for planning healthy snacks into your day. I love some celery with laughing cow cheese or a tablespoon of peanut butter or some cottage cheese with fruit, an apple with a small piece of cheese. Snacking makes me feel like I'm not dieting because I'm never hungry. And, that's a very good thing!

I have to stay away from snacks generally. But if I absolutely have to have one, then I eat some sweet green grapes or a baked sweet potato or about 6 walnut halves or some hot skim milk (or a combination of these, depending on how much of an "emergency" it is:P). These have a bit of heft to them and can usually stave off any further danger--though I do have to a wait a few minutes for my hunger (or whatever it is) to calm down.

I'm also guilty of being a snacker. What has helped me is diet hot chocolate. I have a cup at the beginning of my evening and that seems to curve the cravings and I'm full. Other times I just have to tell myself the kitchen is closed and won't allow myself anything. Some nights I have just gone to bed to stop from eating.
