I'm not from Texas but live here in southeast Houston. I'm actually from Hawaii and moved here per DH orders. I don't like it here but I'm surviving. DH hates it more than I do, I guess plans backfired on him huh?

Hahahaha, no one from away likes Houston, esp if you're used to living somewhere beautiful. We live in one of the ugliest cities in America.

(I like giving Houston a hard time. I actually don't hate it as much as I used to, but I think that's because my soul was finally broken by the hideousness.)

I used to go to Houston quite a bit, and I have to say...I hate it.

It confuses me to drive in Houston, it's ugly in Houston, and most of the people I came in contact with were just plain rude!

But then again, I'm from rural West Texas where we've got green grass and wide open spaces, and everyone knows everyone, so I'm kinda biased.

I can't stand Houston. I'm from Dallas originally, and then Austin. I loooooooove Austin and owuld move back in a heartbeat if I could.

My family still lives in Houston and I really don't like it. Flat. Humid. Overbuilt. Bleah.

Give me Austin or Dallas or West Texas any day.

I'm from houston and I was perfectly content with it until I went to school in Denton and OMG now I can't wait to get away! Maybe Austin? I've never been there but i've heard good things or who knows maybe another state??

I was born in Corpus Christi, but grew up in Western CO... truly the best of both worlds. My dad lives in NW Houston and I was just there a couple of weeks ago. I made him take me to Galveston (I LOVE Galveston no matter what anyone says ;)

I hate Houston period. I spent a year at UH and have tried living there 3 times in my life and every time I ran screaming from the state of TX.

But there are plenty of other beautiful places to go in TX, mainly South ;)

I live in San Antonio now, but have lived in Austin for school and Houston for work. We moved to SA a few years ago, and while it's very nice, I really don't know many people here. Two of my sisters and most of my friends are in Houston. At least there is a lot to do in SA with my 7 year old daughter.

I don't hate Houston (lived in the NW burbs), but I hated the weather there. Then again, I hate all the weather in Texas because I don't tan. Sunscreen year round since I was about 17.

I work out at Lifetime Fitness in SA if anyone else is a member there. Would love to have some company once in a while b/c most people don't talk to you if you are overweight. I'm like.... well at least my fat bootie is in the gym!

Born and raised! I HATE Houston, though I was orginally from there. I'm between Austin and San Antonio atm, going to school there. Grew up in Austin, awesome city but I do need to get out of state and see the world. =)
