Returning again on 1/1
Hi,
Back here again. I can't believe it's been close to a year since I last posted (I think...) I'm totally disgusted with myself. I am going to leave past failures in the past. 2008-new start, and it will be the year I come close to my goal. I can't stand feeling so horrible anymore, and I'm ready to recommit. I know it's totally cliched to restart on 1/1, but it will give me some time to get the junk out of the house and healthy food in the house. Thanks for listening- Sherry |
Welcome back, Sherry!!! :)
|
Hey Sherrie, I know how you feel. I'm restarting on Jan 1 as well. I've just been getting nowhere and getting down on myself that I am overeating hugely over the holidays. Finally I just gave myself permission to eat what I wanted and not stress about it. I'm not gorging myself or anything but I'm not giving myself a guilt trip with every cookie I eat. Anyway hope you are having a good holiday and look forward to seeing you more next week!!

Glad to see you back here Suzie. I'm also so glad to hear that you're ready to recommit. Cliche'd or not, 1/1 sounds like a great time to commit to a healthy lifestyle. GO FOR IT!!! You CAN do it. You absolutely don't have to feel "horrible". Just think where you can be one short year from now if you follow through with that commitment. Good luck. :)

Hello and Merry Christmas!
I would like to add myself to the list of those who have been here long before and are just now returning - still carrying the same extra 35 lbs as before but somehow hoping 1/1 will help me recommit:) Looking forward to seeing you all again next week! Happy New Year! 60 jayhawk |
Hi,
Thanks, everyone! I really appreciate the support. It was the support here that helped me lose 60 lbs back in 200 3 (most of which I've gained back-sigh!) Robin, I was reading your story-you are truly inspiring. You accomplished so much in such a short time. You're a role model for me and everyone here. Take care, Sherry |
Welcome back, Sherry! You're right, past failures mean nothing. I certainly had a million of them! What matters is your decision NOW, and you've decided to make a change for good. We're all here to support you! :)
|
Hi Sherry. I'm glad you decided to come back.
|
Hi Sherry!
Welcome back to the board. I've always loved New Years because it is a time to recommit or to start a new. Congrats on your decision to leave the past failures in the past (that is just were they belong). |
Hi Sherry! Great to see you here!!

Hi,
Thanks, everyone! Dana, so glad to see you, too! Robin, what did you do when you were 'REALLY craving something-how did you get through it? I actually like a lot of healthy foods, but emotional eating does me in. Thanks- Sherry |
I am also coming back on the first, Missed you all :)
|
Welcome, welcome!!:)
|
Hey, a new year, a new start! Glad that you're coming back.
|
Sheila-
Hey!!! I'm so glad you're still around even though you're reached goal-congratulations!!! I'm so proud of you. I still think of you when I read mysteries. Have you read the author Merry Jones? Her first book is called The Nanny Murders. Take care, Sherry |
I also will return in January, fatter than ever, but hoping to stay motivated to lose by exercising and careful shopping. I will join a gym next week and get all the snacks out of the house. I will start on hi protein and go from there. I really need everyone's support this time. I am to the point where my weight is causing medical problems and I must take control of the situation. I will try to check in each day since that is the best way for me to stay motivated. Congrats to all of you who have lost and continued to lose even during the holidays.

Hey Sherry! Glad to see you back! Let's kick some 2008 butt, shall we?
