OT: Anyone speak italian??

OK, I am trying to order a CD for my mom by this Italian Artist Nicola Congiu. He self released an album called "Per Te". But the only place I can find it are Italian websites and I can't read them to order them (and don't even know if they ship here!)

Any ideas my computer savy friends??

Have you tried using babelfish to translate the pages?

http://www.babelfish.com/

You can enter the website text, and it should translate it for you. It might be a rough translation, but it should be enough of a guide to let you navigate the site easier.

Just a suggestion.

Okay Sandi - I don't speak italian but spanish can get you pretty far and the fact that I buy everything online.

Go to this site.
Click on the shopping cart icon.
Click on invia l'ordine (with the arrow to the right)
Click on Sei un nuovo utente? Registrati
You'll need to register before you can order. Here are some field translations:
*Cognome - Last Name
*Indirizzo - Address (like 1234 Main Street)
*Numero civico - put in the letters snc
*Indirizzo - I think this is like apartment number
*Localita - City (San Diego)
*Provincia - State
*Codice Avviamento Postale - Zip Code
*****one - Country (from a drop down list)
*Partita IVA - put none
Ok, now mark the circle next to the credit card pictures and check the box that says Accetto.
Click on the invia button.

Now you will get a Grazie! screen. Click the login button. Use the email address and password you just provided.

Then you will be asked for most of the same information again. Remember to put the snc in the N.Civico box.

Click on Continue.
Eventually you'll get to a page where you can click on the visa or mastercard logo to pay. The credit card information is pretty straight forward (even if it is in italian).

And yes, it looks like they ship to the US.

Good luck! I got to the part for payment without issue. I think you'll do fine.

I only know the cuss words & the food words. :(

Any idea how much it will be? I feel so stupid!!

Maybe you could post on his myspace to ask if it's available in the US and how you can get a copy :) It could be available at some smaller retailer.

Ok, who knows how this will turn out - I ordered it.

20,50 euro - is that roughly $30.00. I don't understand the translation. I found a calculator and it says 2050 translate into 3,006.5309. I would imagine that's NOT 3 thousand dollars...right??

nicolen 12-13-2007 11:22 AM

It would be the equivalent of US$30. A lot of European countries use a comma instead of a full stop to indicate a decimal point.

 thanks!! I was hoping that was it!!!

Now let's see how long it takes to get here. I am NOT counting on a Christmas arrival!
