Default Been a naughty couple days

ugh, Wed night there was a girls night, about 5 of us get together and watch Nip/Tuck and just sit around talking over drinks and food. We had pizza and cosmo's. I had 3 cosmo's and 2 slices of pizza. Then last night a bunch of us got together for the football game. I had 2 drinks and a big burger. I"m not happy about it, but I did do well for b-fest and lunch both of these days, so I"m hoping I off set it a little that way. I"m gonna have to be on my extra best will power this weekend. /vent over

Don't feel bad. Everybody needs a little splurge now and again.

If you are feeling really guilty, a little extra exercise helps a lot!!

If you get together every week for Nip/Tuck and football then I think I'd sweat it a little. It's one of those situations where you can ruin an entire great on-plan week with one or two bad days. You might want to think of ways to have these events without focusing so much on the food.

If you do it once every two months then that obviously is an entirely different situation.

I think it's important to note that you had good meals for breakfast and lunch. That shows that you weren't blowing it completely. But I agree that because this is a weekly event, you need to have some concern. What's your plan so this doesn't happen every week?

As far as the Cosmo's, could you cut back to just 1? Pizza is a seriously hard one for me, I can't even go near the stuff!

Pizza is my downfall as well. Can you bring a salad and allow yourself just one small sice? Or, order yourself a thin crust veggie pizza and bring a salad? That would at least cut back the bread and leave out the fattening meat toppings. I wouldn't be able to face pizza on a weekly basis yet...I am hoping to get there one day though.

We do get together every week. Usually it is healthier choices and I'm really not much of a drinker. So, I can always pass on the drinks. They are such empty calories. Then either make healthier choices or eat smaller portions of what we do eat, OR even eat before I go and pass on eating altogether.

Thank You for pointing that out. I am proud that I stayed on plan for b-fest and lunches. There were days in my past where i had fast food for all 3 meals more than one day a week. I guess my plan would be to not drink every week, or limit it to one. I didn't even pig out on pizza like I would of normally. I had 2 pcs, but pizza is really not that good for you.

Oh, I love Nip/Tuck!! Just try to focus on the gross medical scenes, you'll be all set

Seriously though, what I try to do (and usually don't end up actually doing) is choose one or the other. I think it's great that you were good for the rest of the day- lots of us throw in the towel the second something goes a little wrong. Go you!

Such good points here. I don't think I would have immediately considered the fact that it is a weekly event.

Have you ever tried Amy's pizza pockets? They're pretty good and one fills you up for about 300 calories. I am sure every line of frozen dinners has some low-cal version of pizza.

When I bring my own food to a social event, I sort of think of it as a good time to find out who is going to be supporting me for the long haul. So far, I have discovered that all my friends are with me on this. Now, when I see my MIL later this month, I can't be so sure.

Oh man, I LOVE cosmos. Clearly you were a woman of steel to limit your consumption to what you did, both cosmos and pizza wise. I could have never have done that, especially with the two together! Anyways, it was just a bobble, it sounds like. Hang tough! (also as ggmugsy mentioned, a little exercise can help tremendously)
