Thank you so much. Though those pics are quite old actually. I'm down about 36 pounds since then. One of these days I'll put up some goal pics. I'm glad they have given you hope. There's actually no reason NOT to have hope. Weight loss IS a doable thing. All of us here who have lost lots of weight and who have gotten to their goal are in total agreement, we each say that "If I can do it, anyone can". And it's true. ANYone can. Absolutely anyone. Good luck to you.

I didn't watch Oprah, but I wish I would have.

I am starting (what sounds like) a similar program through my doctor's office. Medically supervised weight loss, no pills, no surgery. But it's a HUGE time committment. You see a nutritionist, an exercise physiologist, a behavioral health person, as well as the MD & RN in charge of the program. It's about 10 appts per month. I start the ball rolling on December 6. They tested me at my initial consultation, and I am officially 50% body fat. My BMI is 51. There was a time I had it down to about 44, about 3 years ago. Ever since I began the clinical trial, I have not been able to get lower than 308. It's time for some help, from people who know what they are doing.

Maybe I will get lucky and they will rerun the Oprah? Do you know if it ever shows up on youtube?

wow.. sapf - that sounds like a really cool program. Is it covered by insurance for you? I think it's good for you that it is such a huge time commitment.

Give us more details once you start, k?
