I am not surprised. Sugary drinks are very high in calories. The sad thing is sometimes the only difference between a 150 lb woman and a 250 lb woman is a few extra 100 calories a day over a period of time.

Trust me, it's not that hard. Somehow there was always room; even on top of the Big Mac and fries. Although, in my formerly expert opinion, the Jack in the Box shakes were way better.

I could still see spending some of my daily calories on a cheeseburger, but there's no way I'm going to waste them on a drink of any kind.

I happen to have the sheet from McDonald's showing their menu and what is in it because I wanted an egg nog shake. Yummm worth every drop of fat lol. Hey, they only have them a few weeks a year and I only have one.

lol I could drink what ever you would give me of an egg nog shake. Gallons and gallons lol I just don't let myself. Since I never eat fast food I figure one shake a year is not going to kill me but I do stick to the 16 oz size.

Not meaning to butt in on anyones thread but I saw the headline and had to see what it was about. I was just talking with DS GF last night about the sweet tea and wondered myself how fattening it is...geez, 14 teaspoons of sugar, YIKES! I had one and it was good but haven't been tempted again. Will just get the regular tea w/o sugar.

Ha, how about the calories in some of the "oh so healthy" drinks at Jamba Juice?? I have finally figured out my drink - Mango Mantra (no peaches, sub raspberries), in a small and I drink about half. The smallest size is a 16 oz and is 160 calories (this is from their LIGHT MENU), I want a 12 oz!

An "original" (ie 24 oz) Razzmatazz is 440 calories, a 30 oz Peanut Butter Moo'd is 1170 calories. Juice != low calorie, health food.

On a positive, the Jamba Juice people can do nearly any substitution on any drink you want. Want a drink with fat free yogurt instead of sherbert? No problem!

I am of no help w/this thread because I am a yankee and I don't take sugar in my tea, hot or iced. :(

But I was wondering if anyone had the nutritional info for a child sized shake @ McD's? Would it be half of the 16 ounce one? About 8 ounces seems right for a child sized drink?
