hello everyone
hello everyone. i have been reading thru a lot of the posts here for a week or so.. did put a post in the 300 club, but i fit here as well..
i am 43 years old, 5'3, and weigh ( as of yesterday ) 301lbs/21.7 stone. I have wanted to change my lifestyle and lose weight for a long time, but something always kept me from it. A couple weeks ago my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.. she also has COPD, diabetes, high blood pressure and many smaller ailments.. i think all this has finally made me realize my own mortality. i have had a rough life in diff ways, but 5 years ago i met the most amazing man in the world, we were married, and im finally in the happy ever after part of my life.. i just decided i want a Long happy ever after. so, i started counting calories yesterday.. also got TOM yesterday ( perfect timing lol).. i have gone on two 20 min walks one yesterday and one today.. before this i didnt move lol....im trying to eat 1800 calories a day but cant quite reach that so far.. yesterday i made 1500, and today so far i have had 750.. still have to eat dinner tho... i have never been much of an eater... and i have real bad teeth atm so sweets have been out for a while... but the big prob i do have is soda( doesnt hurt teeth darnit lol).. i have been drinking about 2-4 liters of coke per day for years...and havnt drank water in years... so i gave up the soda for the most part.. still figure it into my cals per day 6oz... i drank 1.5 liters of water yesterday and 2 liters today... just thinkin about it i do have to admit i can kill a bucket of KFC, but thats about my only binge food... gonna have to give that up for a while.. maybe later i will be able to handle it in moderation.
anyhow, i just wanted to introduce myself and let you all know that your posts have already helped and inspired me in so many ways... i look forward to getting to know you and also any ideas you may have that can help me be the thin woman i know is inside me . getting squished lol
lastly i will be weighing myself on friday am;s.. wish me luck for this fri... between tom and changing lifestyle.. i hope something shows well on the scales :)
