Default New Here

Hi everyone! I'm brand new here and i just posted on the buddy section of the message boards and someone told me to come post here. So i'll just repeat what i said there:
I have never talked about wieghtloss with anyone online before so i'm still a little shy about posting my weight. But i will say that i have about 110 pounds to lose. I'll give a little background for anyone interested in being a diet buddy. I recently turned 22 years old and about a year ago i started dieting, trying different things. I ended up really sticking with Slimfast, and actaully lost 53 pounds! However when Thanksgiving rolled around, then Christmas, and now New Years, i just completely gave up trying to stick with it, and ate whatever i wanted. I ended up gaining 13 pounds back and i REALLY don't want this to go any further and destroy all my hard work. But since i went off, i've tried to get back on several times and for some reason i can't get motivated again. I think having someone to account to would be good and might help me. Hi Yeats Fan!

I'm new here too and I have a significant amount of weight to lose. I'm not sure how much (I have promised myself I'll buy a scale in the morning) but I know I'm currently in the 250+ range so I need to lose atleast 100lbs myself!

It sounds like you have a great start on your weight loss. Is 110 your current goal or was that your starting goal?

I'll tell you a little about myself and you can decide if you want me as your buddy!

I'm 29, I've been divorced for about 3 years now (no kids). Two years ago I moved in with my sister and her family so I could go to college (network administration). I work nights so I can keep my sister's children after school, I sleep during the day and then go to class in the evenings. One of my biggest issues is time! I never get enough sleep so when I have extra time that is my first thought.

My family is full of snackers! My brother in law loves to bake cookies & cakes so there are always temptations around. I just have to learn restraint. Also, we eat a high fat "country food" diet (for dinner tonight we had potatoe soup with Bacon!) I think my biggest problem is that I live in a house full of people with high metabolism rates.

My plan is to decrease my caloric intake to 2,000/day and to exercise 30 minutes 5/week (walking). I start tomorrow, so please pray for me!!

110 pounds wasn't my starting goal of weightloss, it's what my goal is from my weight right now. So i have a long way to go. I'd love to have you as a diet buddy so please e-mail me!

Hi yeats glad you found your way down here.

Welcome and welocme to you too chelle. we love newcomers and glad to have you here. I personally do not do email groups as i tent on getting to involved with too many and spend all my time on the pouter then so i stay here ont he board. (I would never get the house clean or dinner fixed) but youare welcome to stay and join our group. we all are on different diets and ahve challenges, and give great emotional support for all not just weight loss. please post meals and exercise and water intakes join us on the daily thread too. and pop in just for the company that always helps to know thet there are many of us in the same boat.
