Heather, believe it or not, the tough part for me is actually avoiding OVEREATING my ONplan foods. That's just how much I enjoy what I am currently eating. You don't know how I wish I could cook for you all. I really make some good stuff, not to pat myself too hard on the back or anything like that, but yeah - I do make quite the tasty fare. Actually after listening to what some of you folks make around here, it sounds pretty darn tasty to me as well.
Well, I happen to think the foods I make are pretty darn tasty too! :) I do have to be careful not to overeat them, but many of my meals I package up into servings after I make them, and that helps. But for some things, like homemade hummus (which gets better everytime I make it), I don't find that practical...

ChristyDM,
Hi! I agree with you about the lemon on potatoes! Yumm!
This summer I was able to go on a mission trip to Italy and at one of the homes they fixed potatoes with lemon. It was SO good! I'd never tried it before! It's really refreshing!

Oh I agree, from the stuff that you've mentioned it DOES sound like you're making some pretty darn tasty stuff as well. Lots of us here in fact do. I've gotten some great ideas from all of you.

It's very important for me to make just the amount of food that I am intending to eat for that particular sitting. Leftovers - just not a good thing for me. But it's exactly like you said, the hummus, the baby carrots and grape tomatoes that go along with it and that type of stuff, I tend to nibble on.

I'm the opposite -- I have to make quantities of meals, usually on weekends, so that I don't have to cook every night. So, batches of chili, or soup, or "skillet lasagna" make anywhere from 6-10 servings. I couldn't do my full-time (often and then some) job all day, go to the gym, and cook every night. So, I guess I have to be able to resist those things!

Some of these meals are good to freeze, too, which cuts down on the nibble factor I guess!

The thing I can't seem to keep in the house are any kind of baked goods. :( I don't bake much anymore...
