Hello from a not so newbie

  • I've lurked here forever, and posted very rarely. I looked and the last time was a year ago. I'm now 10 lbs heavier.

So, I'm going to start one day at a time and make some concrete goals.

    1. I will track what I eat everyday on FitDay.
    2. I will walk 30 minutes on my treadmill at least 5 times per week.
    3. I will limit myself to 2 hours or less on the computer per day.
    4. I will check in to 3FC at least once per day.

Thanks for reading, and I hope to get to know you all better.
  • Nice to meet you Mare

Your plan looks great, but you have to stop lurking and get to posting. I find the more active I have been in this community over this last month the more dedicated I have become to getting this weight off. There is nothing like having positive support from those that understand how it is. Plus, the inspiration from those that have lost the weight and are keeping it off.
  • Welcome back Best of luck to you!
  • Welcome back! Looking forward to getting to know you.
  • Hi there!!! And welcome back!!! I'm real glad to hear you will be joining us and participating. I look forward to getting to know you better, so please post often. Good luck to you.
  • WELCOME. Just some friendly advice. I hope you not only track your calories on fitday but also plan ahead. I know for me if I lacked a plan, I wouldn't be getting the positive results I am. Hope to hear from you often.
  • Welcome! It's always so much fun to have new people. I am looking forward to getting to know you!
  • Hi!!
I posted last in May or June of 2006 and gained 20+ lbs, so don't feel bad.
I think this is the time that all the second, third and whatever timer's can do this!!!
Welcome back and I hope you stick around and post more.

  • So glad you came back, Mare! A quitter never wins and a winner never quits. Onward and upward, er, downward...

2 hours a day. 2 hours a day. Gotta remember that.
  • Welcome back, Mare!
  • Thank you all!

I definitely need to plan my meals. It is easier when you have it all figured out for the day. Also, someone told me that "automating" two meals per day is very helping. In other words, have the same thing for lunch and dinner almost every day, and use dinner time to get your variety. I think that may work for me.
  • Hiya Mare....yep, posting is just as important as lurking here, if not more important IMO.

We want to get to know you!
