  • Look closely at the package.

Just below the lettering and right by the shiny spot.

What probably happened is, the water the lettuce was washed in contained tadpoles and these became fresh new frogs, right in the packages. So if you're looking for salad fixins with a little more body, then be sure and try this brand.

Look at it this way... You do get more for your money!

You can also have frog legs later, When they're fully grown!
  • Wow! That's wild!!!

Sandi - you moved your ticker!! Congrats! You were being so sneaky and quiet about it.
  • How funny is that!!!??? Poor little frog!
  • Omg!!!!
  • Can you even imagine? I'm sure I would yelp loudly if I picked that bag up and noticed it while in the produce department!
  • Wait, Sandi, you ate veggies???!?!?!?!? Good for you on your loss!

    How fast do they grow?

I was convinced this was just a photoshop experiment, but after a little digging I think it's real. Apparently the company was known for "stowaways" in the packages, though they were usually dead by the time they were found. There used to be a you tube video of this one jumping in the bag, but the video is no longer there.

But what is more disturbing is that when I googled "frog in salad" I turned up a lot of stories of people finding frogs in their salads in restaurants
  • I prefer tuna in my salad.....

  • Sandi, are you trying to sabotage my love affair with baby spinach????

    It might work!
  • Sandi
Thanks for reminding me to always wash my lettuce!
  • Poor little frogs!
  • OMG! Id die if I found a frog in my salad.
  • Heehee, I'd keep him as a pet! To remind me to always eat my veggies.
  • That's kinda freaky. If it were me, I would have thrown the package and screamed very, very loudly. Poor little froggy.
  • Ewwwwwwwwwwww!
