Am I Allowed?

I know I don't QUITE have 100 pounds to lose..but it's pretty darn close..and it might become 100 before it's over if I am not happy at goal (77 pounds total)

I just feel like I can relate to you ladies, even if I don't have quite as much weight to lose.

But I understand if I can't stay...

CLCSC145 07-06-2007 09:32 PM

Of course you can stay! I have some extra pounds you can lose for me. Together we make 2 100 pound losers :D!

Glad you found us! :welcome:

sockmonkey70 07-06-2007 09:37 PM

Hehe thanks!! ***wheeeeewww***

Was expecting to be kicked straight out of the door LOL.

You're more than welcome! Not every one has 100 lbs to lose...some have less, some have more...the point is we can all relate. I think it's more of a general thing, because I don't know about everyone else, but I wouldn't be quite as comfortable talking to a bunch of girls who were 140 lbs, looking to lose 10... I'd be afraid to ask questions and get involved. So if you are comfy, jump in! Look forward to hearing more from you!

:welcome3:

:D

:DI think it's all in your perspective. I agree, I'm not comfortable responding to the questions, etc. from people who are trying to lose 20 or less. I just don't feel we are in the same place emotionally. I've gained 100 since I met my husband, but at this point I would be happy to "only" lose about 60. I think this site is all about where you are comfortable -- no one get's "kicked out"!!!

Gale02 07-07-2007 12:28 AM

Welcome, jump right in!!

famograham 07-07-2007 12:46 AM

You will NEVER be kicked out this particular door!!!

You are most welcome! It's funny because I did the same thing when I first joined  Now, a 1.5 year backslide after my original halfway to goal...I actually DO hove 100 to lose (well...97 now..).

So make yourself at home...you've found a wonderful place

Thank you guys a bunch. I feel like I have this mountain of weight to lose, and I am secretly jealous/envious of the girls with only a few to drop. And it makes me feel TERRIBLY guilty to feel that way LOL. So I am glad I am welcome to post here, because I feel like I can identify with what it feels like to have a lot to lose.

LaurieDawn 07-07-2007 01:20 AM

Welcome! We're so glad to have you here! We have such a variety of experiences and perspectives here. It only makes it more helpful.

Welcome! I haven't seen anyone kicked out of this thread yet, so I think you're safe! :) And you're right, when you have close to 100 lbs to lose, you have more challenges than someone who only has 20 or 30 lbs to lose.

royalsfan1 07-07-2007 07:39 AM

We're glad you're here!!! I think you're really going to like it!

I felt the same way. I didn't think I could post on this part of the board for a long time because I did not have 100 pounds to lose. I might end up only losing 80. Now that I have lost a good bit of weight I find out that it's ok to be here.

I think the challenges are just different. I dropped weight quickly- the first two months went fast.Weightloss has slowed. Exercise is easier- but smaller bodies need less calories.I have to exercise harder to lose- maybe that's just me. Some days I still weigh 231 pounds in my head. My son still tries to put DH's shorts in my laundry pile, although I will soon be half his size. I can handle most of the emotional eating- but the mindless stuff I am still fighting. I am always just one meal from failure in my head. I can remember seeing a post back in February of someone that only had 30 pounds to lose and thinking how whiney they were. Now that I am in the last third of my weight loss journey I don't think I will ever judge anyone whether it is one pound or 100 pounds again.
