NY trip this week!!
Yay! I am so excited. I am going to New York on Friday to visit my brother and his wife for a week. I can not wait to have a vacation. Working 2 jobs is killing me. R&R will do me good.
I went shopping the other day to get some trip essentials... you know.. a couple new outfits and some makeup and such. My little sister came with me and I was trying on pants. Lately I have been in size 20s.. but I tried on this one pair and they didn't fit. So I grabbed a pair of 24s thinking I would be drowning in them.. they fit perfectly. We'll blame it on the fact that no one can make a universal size. My little sister says, "You know what's funny. I'm 6 and I wear a size 6... you're 24 and you wear a size 24.. if Bre (one of our other sisters) is 22, does she wear size 22? Is that how it works?" I said, "not quite and Bre wears 14s"..which she replied, "woah! that's tiny" Ya gotta love the logic of children. I just found the idea funny. God I hope I don't gain a size with every year! I haven't been on plan in quite a while. Though I am kinda hovering around the same weight, I obviously haven't lost any weight. Either way I am just looking forward to having a bit of fun.. AND NOT WORKING!!! Yay. |
Have a great time Kae. I'm sure a vacation will be just the ticket for you!!

Kae: I enjoyed hearing your little sister's comments...my 4-year old daughter assumes that, as you age, you get bigger - even as an adult! I am looking forward to showing her first-hand that, as some people (like me!) get older, they actually get smaller!!!
Have a great trip to NYC! |
Lucky you!
Have a wonderful time in New York! You will have to tell us all about it when you get back. Cheers, Lisa |
