I substituted the bacon with turkey bacon and chopped it up and added it to the soup at the end. I omitted the Velveeta cheese. It was excellent. My 8 yr old and his friend just loved it despite the red peppers. Good soup.

This soup was easy to make and very tasty.

Good soup. I made it with the cheese, as called for in the recipe. I served it to my boyfriend and he ate two bowls. It did not taste like a “diet soup” at all. For an entire family, I would add more potatoes to make it heartier.

Awesome, my husband asked for it again. Easy too. A real keeper.

This was a very delicous dish. Very filling. My husband brother and I made it disappear in 45 minutes! It’s worth a try, you’ll be satisfied.

  • Rosita

I loved how easy this soup was to make and how filling it was. I think it would taste great without the cheese as well.

    One of our favorites!!!

This is my favorite soup. With the creamy thickness this soup offers, I do not miss any of the fat.

  • Annmarie

This is a great soup. Very thick and hearty and my kids loved it. I added peas to it for a variety of veggies and it worked out. I give it a 10.

  • James

It was a little bland. I used fat free cheddar instead of velveeta cheese. Added some thyme as well.

  • Tunisha

This was great! My husband didn’t want to eat “diet” food but he loved this recipe.

  • Natalie

Delicious! I omitted the Velveeta/cheese and added some thyme, as James suggested above. I also ended up using more chicken broth and a little bit of water to make more of a stock.

The point plus value is 7. However, does anyone know the serving size?
