Friday weigh in

A quick post this morning, I have 10 000 things to do in the lab this morning before our meeting with the boss this afternoon.

I had my weekly weigh in this morning and I ended up at 136.0 lbs (+0.4 lbs since last friday).

You know what? I’m not even disapointed.

I tooooootally expected it. My tummy felt bloated for the last 3 days, (TMI coming in!) I really need to go to #2 but can’t manage to go and I hate a lot of carbs in the last 2 days. So really, a 0.4 lbs gain is nothing compared to what I was expecting! (I was dreading the 138 lbs I saw last monday-post-weekend-full-of-water-retention… I feel GREAT about the 136.0 LOL).

Plus, another victory, I managed to included brussels sprouts to our last night meal. I was scared my boyfriend would dislike it… It was a big HIT! I cut them in half and roasted them in the oven at 350 degree F after I sprinkled a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar and a tablespoon of maple syrup on them. They ended up caramelisez, soft and simply delicious. It was an excellent side dish to our beer batter pimped out grilledcheese (proscuitto for the boyfriend, lean turkey slices for me) : I’ll definetely do that again, it makes a great variation of the traditional salad as a side dish for about 110 calories.

I’m usually not a fan of brussel sprouts but that sounds fanastic! How long did you roast them for? Have a good weekend!

I wasn’t a uper big fan of brussels sprouts either (like steamed? yuck) but roasted 30 minutes with the balsamic vinager and the maple syrup is really making me love them ;)
