So here is my first side by side. I know I’m a month late, but I do have every intention to update this every first of the month. Along with the picture updates, my weight meaurements and other stats will be updated on their respective pages at the same time. I’ll proably post the picture in a regular posting like this one too.

As you can see from the picture I have a lot of work to do yet. Even though I’ve lost a hundred pounds I still am overweight. There are certain places on my body that just don’t look right or proportionate. My arms are huge, my thighs are cheesy and gross- I havent worn shorts in 10 years. I don’t wear sleeveless shirts either and the heat really kills me sometimes. I think I want to be able to be comfortable in a pair of shorts almost more than any other reason to lose weight.

 Just realized how unhappy I look in this picture, lol, I just hate to fake a smile.

Update: ARG! 17 comments this morning, only one legit from jitterfish! I even changed my settings to the whole must include email thing! Is there something else I should do? I don’t want to make it hard for you guys to comment…

I didn’t realise you had lost so much, wow 100lbs! And I too hate not feeling comfortable enough to wear sleeveless shirts (I wear shorts although I hate my legs). I have the worst arms ever, bingo wings something shocking. I should do this side by side pic thing too. Not sure I want to see the results though!

But look at how much weight you’ve already lost! You’ve already come so far and yes there might still be weight you want to lose or parts of your body that you want to work on but you should be so, so very proud of yourself for what you’ve accomplished so far.

And as for the comments, I really don’t think it would make things difficult for us at all.

A couple of things… First, I am so proud of you for posting these pics! I think you are beautiful and you are well on your way to getting where you’d like to be. Second, since you circled all the things about yourself that you’d like to change, I’d like to point out some of the good. You’ve got awesome bosoms! (hope you’re not offended, lol) 🙂 Also, your hair is really pretty, and from what I can see, you’ve got awesome fingers. Good stuff to work with, hot mama! I think you are beautiful and such an inspiration for already having lost 100 pounds. You are a real woman. One who struggles with her weight and one who has parts she’d like to improve. Just like you said in the beginning of the year…sometimes it’s not our bodies that need work, it’s our minds.
5 Positive Affirmations that I can think of for you:
1) She is an athlete (anyone who puts as much time as you do at the gym is an athlete)
2) She is a hard worker.
3) She stuck with it. (You may not think you’re perfect but you were perfect enough on your plan to lose 100 pounds, that is no small feat)
4) Her body is stronger and she has more energy than before.
5) She is a great blog buddy.

Now smile, and be proud of you. We are!

As for the trolls, I have mine set to block search engines, but allow normal visitors and Hold a comment in the queue if it contains 2 or more links. (A common characteristic of comment spam is a large number of hyperlinks.) I haven’t gotten a troll message yet. Fingers crossed.

WOW. Just. WOW! You are AWESOME! I am an ex Navy wife and we were stationed in Norfolk at one time. Well, really Newport News (shipyard) and then the ship was moved to Norfolk. So, I know how hard and frustrating the life can be. But you WILL make it through it — you’ve already accomplished so much! Congrats and GOOD LUCK!
