7/4/13 Weight Loss Update

With less than a week to report on I can honestly say I am down 9 pounds since last Saturday and I have not once felt deprived or unable to partake in a little snack here or there.  I received my order yesterday and also a jar of PB2 – who knew that powdered peanut butter would take so good in a shake.  I have not tried adding water and putting it on toast – my son really wants to try that.  I got the one with chocolate mixed in it 45 calories for 2 tablespoons, 1.5 grams of fat, 1 gram of sugar, 5 grams of protein – how can you go wrong.  Ingredients in the plain are roasted peanuts, cocoa powder, sugar and salt AND  you can buy it at Walmart in the peanutbutter isle. 

I ran last night with my other C25K group and had to leave them – I needed to run more than 2-3 minutes at a time.  I finished 3 miles in 42 minutes.  I need it to be under 40 for Satuday.  I know race day I will push harder because of all the people.  I should be ok to finish before the Shriners find me in those little cars.  I hear they can be pretty mean 🙂

Engery level for my run was great!  I had some hummus and pita chips before I left for town to run.  I just love burping hummus while running – oh I just gagged a little.  Temps were pretty good last night – I did sweat a bit but it was not overly hot.

Well that is my update – I will continue to try and post daily.  It helped me before so maybe it will help me again now!
