Another two weeks have past – time is flying! Can you believe we are in December already? I remember in one of my earlier entries I said the same thing about reaching September and now we are nearly at the end of the year! Now 2012 is almost over, the year has gone so quickly.

It’s an exciting couple of weeks ahead. My birthday is this Wednesday. I turn 22. Not as exciting as my birthday last year but I’m going out to celebrate next Saturday the 15th because I’m finish classes on the 14th. So it will be like a double celebration that I actually made it through the semester. Because I’m in my last year of college, my friend and I decided to get cheesy Christmas jumpers and wear them in on the last day! It’s like a case of grabbing all opportunities as they come now that the year is half over practically. Then I reach Day 200 on the 18th and following that, it’s Christmas! Gosh, I love Christmas. I’ve been so excited for weeks. I started listening to Christmas songs back in November!! You would think I was still a child. I have finished my Christmas shopping. They are all wrapped and tagged. I love this time of year. I love nothing more than spending an evening by the fire under a blanket with tea and watching something on the television. (Preferably something to do with Christmas!) My family put our tree up during the week so it finally feels like Christmas. When I’m coming home from college during the week, I love seeing on the lights on in the city and people’s houses. It is just such a magically time of the year.

As far as my plan has gone, I have been doing very well! Another pound gone making me 130lbs. I’m now one away from reaching my second mini goal of 120s by 2013! Food wise, I’ve been up and down lately. Haven’t been making great choices but I’m not binges or overeating. That is a plus. I went out last night and afterwards my friends and I went to McDonalds. I managed to not order. But it could have been because I have a cold I can’t smell a thing. If I could, I probably would have ordered. 😛 I would love to stay clean until Christmas and then be able to enjoy Christmas peacefully for a few days of not being too concerned if I overeat!

In the month of November I managed 24 days of exercise. Although I use the 90 Day Exercise Challenge for accountability I added up how much time I spend exercising. In total, I clocked up 16 hours and 20 minutes in November! I’m very proud of myself that I’m getting back on the wagon. Last Sunday, my friend had a deal that if she went to lunch, I would go to the gym with her – so I did it. I actually really liked it! And I have now been considering joining come the New Year. I was in so much pain until about Thursday! I could barely walk. My legs were so sore. But I guess I must of done a really good workout to be in the amount of pain I was in. I also took part in a points challenge in November which takes account of exercise, food and water. Out of a total of 120 points, I got 101 points! I am also very proud of that achievement. I am in involved in the same challenge for December. It is great for motivation and to give it your all and stay on plan.  On the 1st of December I did a new set of measurements:

Once again, low loss of inches but I’m staying positive! The increase in my calves and arms I’m hoping are muscles, rather than fat!  I guess I let myself down a little in November because my weight lifting was pushed to the side. I’m hoping to get back into from now on. At the start of December, I decided to review the amount of time I was doing my weights. I felt sometimes it was too much and would often put me off. So for the month of December, I started with 10 minutes for the first week on the days I will do weights. And then I will add on 5 minutes each week. I’m starting 15 minutes from today onwards. By the time Christmas week comes around, I’ll be working up to 25 minutes. And of course I don’t have to stick to the 15 minutes this week, if I am up for it, I can do 20! I just don’t want to put pressure on myself and give up completely! I’m now sticking to a plan of at least 30 minutes per day but selected planned rest days during weekdays. My aim is to try and get at least 4 days of exercise in during the week. The first week of December has been successful for this.

In my last entry, I wrote about my Christmas outfit. I bought this top a couple of years ago and after I gained weight, it didn’t exactly fit, especially around the bust area. I had it on me the other day and it fits really well together. I was going to wear a pair of jeans and then my new fabulous shoes which I purchased a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t want to go out and buy a new outfit so I thought I would make the best of what I had, which I have.

I don’t think it’s too early to start planning ahead for my 2013 goals. I got involved mid-year in 2012 so I couldn’t start any challenges which would last the year. In 2013, it will be something I would like to do. Goals I have been thinking about for 2013 include:

  • Get to my goal of 112lbs with measurements of 30/25/30 (if possible).
  • Change up my exercise routine. I would like to add jogging come Spring time.
  • Clock up 500 miles of exercise.

In a couple of weeks, I will finalise my goals for 2013. That’s all for now, folks! Have a good week. 🙂
