A whole lot of didn’ts in my blog today…

Didn’t get home till 9pm tonight. Didn’t get up early enough to fit in a workout this morn. Spent most of the day doing exam prep for my classes. I haven’t taken the time to work in my mindfulness journal yet, but i will when i crawl into bed. I didn’t eat before heading to my late class tonight and didn’t think to grab something for the drive. I was starved when finished up but i resisted and didn’t stop for fast food, i just came on home. When i got here, Philip and Hannah were loving the homemade mini egg rolls that Philip brought home from his cousin’s. They were delicious. I looked up an estimate on calories, and i didn’t overdo it. But, it is disappointing that i didn’t stick to my meal chart.

Activity: not much of anything

Food: turkey sausage (120), eggs (210) and cheese (90) omelet. 3 cups coffee (5) with splenda a ff half n half (30). strawberries (65) with lite cool whip (60). 6 homemade mini chicken egg rolls (400) with homemade sweet&sour sauce (25). 1 square of 72% dark chocolate (67).

Total calories =  1072

Thanks for figuring out the “Spring Focus” thing!

A quick peek at your recent blog entries shows you are eating really really low cal. I know I have more to lose than you and eventually I’ll be eating down around 1200 a day but below 1200 is really counterproductive. In March and early April I was also eating really low – I’d given up junk food and between work and life just wasn’t finding the time or energy to fit healthy stuff in. I got stuck around 260 for *weeks* and it took a bit of eating around 1500 to kick start my body back to losing. Please consider upping your cals just a bit – a grand a day is just too little.

That’s kind of what is going on with me. I just starting trying for 1200 on sunday, and i’ve been eating all throughout the day, not going hungry at all, but haven’t reached 1200 yet, barely even getting 1100.
And i know its not a good thing.
So, i’m going to start slipping in a protein drink or something like that thru the day (i don’t want to go with anything unhealthy at this point because i am trying to break my sweet tooth).
My plan is just to go for 1200 for the first 2 weeks and then start switching the number around each week, like 1600 one week, 1400 the next. As long as i stay between 1200-1800, i ought to keep losing.

I didn’t even hit a grand on Thursday and Saturday I only managed getting close to 1500 by eating a 300 calorie salad at 11:45 pm. It’s so easy to rack up the junk food calories and sometimes so hard to without them…
