Almost To Onederland!

I’m ALMOST there! I can’t believe it’s so close now. I haven’t had time to update much. This semester literally has been the most busy I’ve ever been in my entire life. School, work, president of organization duties, homework, gym, etc. Everything has been cray cray lately. My weight as of today is 204.3! So close! I’ve had a good couple of weeks with losing. This week I lost 4 and last week 4.5. I haven’t been under 200 since I was 12 years old. I remember moving to Florida and having to have a physical to check in to the new school, I was in sixth grade 5’7 and 189 pounds. I’m going to make it to Onederland and just keep on going until I get to that 165!

  • Current Weight: 204.3

Onwards and Downwards! (in a good way!)

Again – I thank those who have been leaving comments! =) Yall are very helpful and supportive.

I’m feeling MUCH better this week! I got my first paycheck from my new job, was able to get to the gym a couple times this week and my work schedule wasn’t as hectic. I’m off tomorrow from work, super excited and I got off early tonight!

222.5 weigh-in today. On Wednesday when I weighed I was at 226.1 so I went up a little bit, but I contribute that to TOM. Regardless, down 3 pounds this week! Heading out the door to get gym time in.

Midterm Madness is all next week, but right now I’m in a great mood, so much better than last week! I’ve been put on an accelerated Plateau breaker for the next 5 days which means I can have:

1 solid snack, 3 liquid snacks, 8-10 oz of protein, 2 veggies, 1 starch and 1 fruit.

Height:  5’10 ½

Weight: 222.5

Total Weight Loss (so far):  113 pounds

I’m So Tired! I Can’t Find Enough Hours in the day!

I’m so tired. I just can’t fit everything in. I’m just so head spinning busy, I don’t even have time to think. I’m either in school all day, doing homework when I can squeeze it in, trying to get everything done for the student organization all the paperwork, flyers, emails, bake sales, fundraisers, events, etc. Plus my new job is running me tired. Training last week and went right into working. I’ve been getting up at 6:45 in the morning for school and the past few days haven’t made it back home until 1:00 am because I had to work closing shifts. MIDTERMS are ALL next week, first midterm is in the morning and the rest all next week. I’ve been so busy I’ve forgotten to eat. Yes, ME forgetting to eat! I’ve just been too tired to fix something. I just have been choosing to squeeze in more homework instead of fixing something. I’m still managing to eat breakfast, 1 snack, lunch and 80 oz of water. But, I haven’t been getting in all my requirements. Plus for the first time since joining the gym in April, I didn’t work out once this week. Taking 5 credit courses with morning, day and evening classes, being president of a student organization AND working a job is really catching up to me. Haven’t slipped on my eating though, no bad treats/drinks or off-plan food. I just haven’t been getting everything in.

Didn’t make it to my weigh-in center today, which is ALSO a first since joining there in July. I chose to skip-it today and use those extra minutes for homework. Plus, it’s my TOM and I hold a lot of water weight, and I know I would feel low about seeing the number, even though it goes away after my TOM.  Without working out last week, I still managed to lose 2 pounds as of Friday. Haven’t weighed since Friday, but on Friday I was 225.1. Field expierences and case studies are also giving me trouble trying to schedule in case study meetings for upcoming projects for classes, etc. I’ve been thinking of getting up an hour earlier in the morning and having a morning workout, but then I get so little sleep as it is, I don’t know how healthy that would be. I need to think about some things.

Birthday Celebration! Success!

My 23rd birthday isn’t until Tuesday, but my celebration was yesterday. I celebrated with family and had a wonderful time! They were all so sweet. It was over at my Aunt’s house and all my cousins were there, and they all cooked a meal that I could have on my diet plan. There were extras like cheese and stuff for them, but it really made me feel special that they planned it all out for me. They even went and got lite morton salt, lite margarine and spent a long time looking at the store! They did make a beautiful birthday cake for me, I didn’t eat a piece and my cousin who made it was a bit upset, but she got over it! =) It was a beautiful cake and I did blow out the candles and I did enjoy that my family loved it and said it was good. They cut me a small piece, but I just held my fork as we all sat and talked during cake time. RESISTED the cake temptation and then after the celebration at the house we all went out (just the women in my family mom, grandmother, aunt, cousin, me) to see Contagion. This is when I almost had a slip, I came this close to eating popcorn. Popcorn at the movies has to be in my top 5 favorite food experiences. LOL! I love popcorn, I’ll admit it smelled AWESOME! My Aunt, Cousin and Grandmother got one of those large tubs of popcorn and my Mom got a medium popcorn so I had popcorn on BOTH sides of me in the seats. They told me “a little bit won’t hurt you” but I held the fort! Seriously, though that’s the closest I’ve come to slipping. I was very proud of myself when I got in the car! I will say I bought one of those Dasani 1 liter large bottles of water at the movies and drank that entire thing in the first 20 minutes of the movie! LOL, I was just drinking it down when resisting that popcorn! Very wonderful day! Had such an awesome birthday!

8 Weeks, 30.5 Pounds! Yay!

Well, technically its 8 weeks and 2 days. Wednesday was my official 8 weeks since start of my healthy eating plan. Weigh-In today was 227.0 down 1.4 pounds since Wednesday. 4 pounds this week. My weight-center has a new herb supplement coming in next week, but I can’t afford the price of it. I got an email from GNC about an all natural HCG activator supplement they have. It was one of those sign-up shipment programs, and I don’t want to go that route so I went on the way home this afternoon to GNC and they had it in stock and on sale, so I’m going to give that a try starting tomorrow. It’s very similar to the herb supplement that is going to be available at my weight center.  It’s not the official HCG protocol, it’s an all natural alternative. There is a free diet plan that comes with the box of HCG activator and it’s almost identical to the diet plan I’m already on (my intake requirements are listed here on a separate page.) So, I’m not going to be changing anything eating wise. The box is a 30 day supply. You take 2 pills, 2 times a day. I’ll be updating on how it’s going.

Weight Today: 227.0

Weight Left To Lose: 62 pounds

Total Weight Loss So Far: 108 pounds

Not 100% Today.

First off: Thank you to everyone who commented! I wasn’t expecting actual readers. Very kind and sweet words.

Today, I didn’t feel 100%. I think I’m just really tired. I didn’t get all my food requirements in today. I’m just not very hungry today. I know I should have gotten everything in, but I almost NEVER miss requirements, so I’m not going to beat myself up about it.  I’m a little worried about maintaining my gym time. Since joining the Gym in April, I’m usually at the gym 5-6 days a week and getting in at least an hour of workout or workout class. Next week, I’m not going to make it in but probably one day. I start my new job training on Monday after classes and it goes to 11:00 pm. Next week is going to be crazy. I take 5 classes right now which is 15 credit hours, plus this new part-time job and being the president of a student organization on campus, I just hope I’m not going to get too tired.

So my birthday is Tuesday and I’ll be busy busy all day, but we’re celebrating it this Saturday! So I’m looking forward to it. Luckily, I don’t have any Friday classes so I’ll be spending all day Friday and Sunday getting ALL of next week’s homework done as I won’t be coming home until midnight from job training.

I’ll 100% be sure to get my weekend workouts in though! Plus a trip to the grocery store to stock up on everything for this upcoming week. I always pack my lunch and snacks the night before, but I’m going to have to pack dinner too for next week.

Monday’s Schedule:

  1. 8:30 am – 11:30 am:  Campus #1 First class of the day
  2. Lunch Break: Drive to the weigh-in center
  3. 1:00 pm – 3:50 pm:  Back on campus #1 Second class of the day
  4. 4:00 pm -7:00 pm: Job training (good thing it’s only 10 minutes from main campus.)
  5. 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm: Drive the 30 minutes to Campus #2 for my night class.
  6. 7:30 pm -8:50 pm: Third class of the day, will be leaving a few minutes early to get back to job training.
  7. 9:00 pm – 11:00 pm: Drive 30 minutes back to job training and complete job training day #1.
  8. 12:00 am: Pack lunch, shower, get paperwork together for Tuesday’s Student Org Meeting, last minute homework, etc. Hopefully, I can get to bed around 1:30. Which gives me a good 5 hours of sleep. Then on to Tuesday’s schedule which is just as busy.

*No Weigh-In today. I weigh on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

First Entry!

Yay, my first entry! I doubt anyone is going to be reading this but me, but it doesn’t matter. I feel it’s going to be very self-fulfilling to journal/blog my journey to onderland. I’ve always loved to journal, but I haven’t in the past year or so.

I start my first entry, not at the beginning of my weight-loss journey, but somewhere in between. As of today I’ve lost 106.6 pounds! (So far!) I can’t believe I used to weigh that much. My heaviest was 335 at 19 years old. 6 days from now I will be 23 years old. It hasn’t been the fastest journey, but this year I’ve really made a push to get to where I truly want to be weight wise. I’m a full-time college student, part-time job holder and president of a student organization on my University campus, I graduate in May, 2013 which is 615 days from now. I plan on walking across that stage looking AWESOME and feeling great!
