Yesterday I bought a single betty crocker blender so i can make my herbalife shakes in it. Since I lost part to one last year when I was temporarily transferring back home. I love those shakes, having used them many years before. A simple breakfast or lunch. Breakfast will be steel cut oats and strawberries and a lunch shake with more strawberries. Yes, the were on sale! Haha
We went grocery shopping yesterday and there was so much junk that s/o wanted. It is was battered or could be microwaved, that was his idea of a meal. *sigh* Not mine.
Does anyone have a recipe fo broccoli salad that doesn’t involve mayo?

  1. You could try this one, I just found it but have never eaten it so can’t tell you how tasty it is 🙂

    1 lg. bunch broccoli, trimmed and minced coarsely
    1 tbsp. sesame seeds
    Salt and pepper
    1/4 c. salad oil
    2 tbsp. sesame oil
    3 tbsp. rice vinegar
    1 tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 teaspoon sugar

    Steam broccoli and steam over simmering water for 8 to 9 min, till just crisp tender. Plunge in cool water and then drain. Toast sesame seeds in the oven or possibly by tossing in skillet over medium heat. Set aside. Season broccoli with salt and pepper. Combine oils, vinegar, soy sauce and sugar and whisk till well blended. Pour over broccoli and toss. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.sesame seeds

  3. I have an Asian one somewhere … it involves sesame oil and ginger maybe. You can try to google it, or email me if you want me to dig around looking for it
