Bridal Bootcamp Diet: 4 Quick Breakfast Ideas

The Bridal Bootcamp Diet, created by Cynthia Conde, is designed for women to help them get in shape for their wedding. The diet focuses on a workout plan that aids women to tighten and tone the areas that are most emphasized when in a wedding dress. This Bridal Bootcamp Diet has three different options, the six-month, the three-month and the four-week regime. The meal plans vary depending on the bride, ranging from 1300 to 1500 to 1900 calorie a day meal plans. Conde has designed the meal plans to include a ratio of 50% carbohydrate, 30% fats and 20% protein. This is consumed by eating five small meals a day. Below is a list of several breakfast ideas for brides who are on the Bridal Bootcamp Diet.

Milk and Cereal

  • 1 ½ cups of low fat, low sugar breakfast cereal
  • 1 cup low fat or skim milk

Combine in a bowl and enjoy.

Scrambled Eggs with Spinach, Red Peppers and Mushrooms

  • 3 egg whites
  • 2 ½ tsp olive oil
  • 6 mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup onions, chopped
  • ½ cup red bell peppers, chopped
  • ¾ cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • ½ tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Heat ½ tsp of olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms and cook until soft. Remove from skillet and keep warm.

Heat 1 tsp of oil in the skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and bell peppers. Sauté until soft, approximately 3 to 4 minutes. Add the spinach and cook an additional 3 minutes. Add the thyme and remove form the heat. Keep warm with the mushrooms.

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites. Season with salt and pepper. Add the remaining oil to the skillet and heat over medium heat. Pour the eggs into the skillet and scramble until soft set, approximately 2 minutes. Add the spinach and mushroom mixture to the skillet and cook until set. Serve immediately.

Baked Eggs with Spinach

  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ onion, chopped
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • 1 ½ cup spinach, chopped
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a small skillet, add the olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add the onions and cook for 5 minutes. Add the spinach and cover, stirring occasionally. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until spinach is wilted. Add the salt and pepper and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs. Spray a small baking dish with nonstick spray. Fill the dish with eggs and top with the spinach. Bake for 15 minutes or until eggs are set.

Ginger Raisin Oatmeal

  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup skim milk
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • ½ tbsp raisins
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp freshly grated ginger

In a microwaveable bowl, combine the oats with the water, milk and salt. Cook according to directions or approximately 3 minutes. After oats are cooked, add brown sugar, raisins, vanilla extract and ginger. Stir and enjoy.
