6 Snack and Sample Meal Ideas for The Fat Flush Diet

The Fat Flush Diet was created by Dr. Ann Louise Gittleman. This diet claims to help you melt fat from your thighs, waist and hips in just two weeks. This diet focuses on eating fat-flushing foods and certain herbs and spices that are thermogenic. These specific foods can speed up fat loss and help detox the body. Key foods of the Fat Flush diet include lean proteins, flax seed, lemons, high-protein why, broths, Stevia, psyllium and phytonutrient-dense vegetables and fruits. Below are several snacks and meal ideas for individuals following the Fat Flush Diet.

Breakfast Meal Idea #1: Vegetable Egg Scramble

  • 2 tbsp green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tbsp red pepper, chopped
  • 1 tbsp onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp no salt added chicken broth
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp purified water

Heat a small skillet over medium heat. Add peppers, onions and broth to the skillet and cook until tender. In a small bowl, whisk together eggs and water until foamy. Pour eggs over pepper mixture. As the mixture starts to set, gently slide a spatula around the bottom and sides of the pan, creating soft curds. Reduce heat to low and cook for 2 minutes or until eggs are set.

Lunch Meal Idea #2: Mexican Salad

  • 4 oz flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tsp no salt added beef broth
  • 1 tbsp onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp no salt added tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cups leafy greens, such as romaine or spinach
  • 1 scallion, sliced
  • ½ tomato, chopped
  • 1 tbsp black olives
  • Pinch of cayenne
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

In a small nonstick skillet, cook the flank steak over medium heat. Add beef broth, onion and garlic. Cook two minutes. Add cumin, cayenne, tomato paste, tomato sauce, vinegar and salt. Heat until mixture begins to bubble. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve beef mixture over a bed of lettuce. Top the salad with scallions, tomatoes and olives. Salt and pepper to taste.

Dinner Meal Idea #3: Chicken Fried Rice

  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 4 tbsp no salt added chicken broth
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • ½ can water chestnuts, chopped
  • 5 oz cooked skinless, boneless chicken breast, diced
  • ½ cup mashed cauliflower
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ½ lemon, juiced

To make this quick and easy dinner, simply sauté onion, garlic and carrots in 2 tbsp of chicken broth until onions begin to caramelize. Add celery and water chestnuts. Cook for 5 minutes or until tender. Add the rest of the broth, chicken and mashed cauliflower. Cook until mixture is warm. Add the beaten egg and stir continuously until egg sets. Add lemon juice and serve.

Snack Idea #1

Enjoy one cup of plain yogurt with ½ cup of mixed melon chunks and 1 oz of chopped walnuts.

Snack Idea #2

Enjoy 1 slice of Swiss cheese with 2 tomato slices. Season with salt and pepper.

Enjoy 1 tbsp of peanut butter with a medium sliced apple.
