5 Refreshing Drinks for the Raw Food Detox Diet

The raw food detox diet, which was founded by Natalia Rose will help to increase your energy levels, lose weight and look and feel much younger. This diet encourages you to eat mostly raw foods and to prepare your own drinks from fresh fruits and vegetables. By making your own drinks at home you can avoid the high amounts of sugar and other additives that are in commercially packaged drinks. Additionally, when you start your day with fresh prepared raw drinks you will have more energy throughout your day.

When making juice or smoothies it is best to use fresh organic produce in order to avoid pesticides. The juices are best when consumed immediately, but they will usually last in the fridge for at least 1 to 2 days. This makes them perfect for you to take along to work or on your trips. Here are some refreshing drinks created by Natalia to help you with your raw food detox diet.

Green Lemonade

This is one of Natalia’s most famous and most loved drinks. It is the perfect drink to get you started in the morning and will keep you energized throughout the day. The recipe makes 1 serving.


1 head romaine lettuce or celery
5 or 6 stalks kale
1 to 2 Fuji apples (depending on how sweet you like it)
1 organic lemon with peel
1 to 2 tbsp. fresh ginger

Simply juice the vegetables with a juicer and enjoy! The lemon helps to decrease the odd taste of the vegetables.

Raw Blended Sweet Potato Soup

Although this is a soup, it can also be enjoyed as a smoothie. The recipe makes 4 to 5 cups.


32 oz. carrot juice, (freshly pressed)
1 medium sweet potato, (peeled and cubed)
4 dates, (pitted)
1 avocado
Several dashes of pumpkin spice

Blend all ingredients until smooth and enjoy.

Blended Creamy Tomato Soup

This is another soup, but the tomatoes give it enough juice to make as a refreshing drink.


5 ripe Holland tomatoes, (halved)
1/4 cup fresh cilantro
1 tbsp. agave nectar
1/2 an avocado
Fresh ground pepper and sea salt to taste
Garlic (optional)

Blend all ingredients until smooth. For a variation you can add an apple or fresh corn.

Power Soup

This is a thicker soup which will not only satisfy your hunger, but your thirst as well. It makes 2 to 3 servings.


1 cup alfalfa
3 cups fresh strawberries
3 tbsp. agave nectar or honey
1 large head romaine lettuce
1/4 of a medium beet
2 to 4 packs of Stevia

Blend all the ingredients until smooth. To prevent the drink from heating up during the blending you can add some ice cubes. You can double the recipe and keep it in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Apple Juice a la Chlorophyll


1 head Romaine lettuce
2 to 3 Fuji apples

Process ingredient in a juicer and enjoy! If you do not have Fuji apples you can substitute with other apples.

You can use your imagination and add any ingredients to these recipes to make them more appealing to you; as long as you have a variety of color, you will have a variety of nutrients as well. Because these drinks are high in fiber, you will also need to drink lots of fresh water throughout the day to help keep you hydrated and energized.
