The Every Other Day Diet is a unique diet that focuses on calorie shifting or cycling. Dieters will follow a very low calorie day diet plan one day, followed by a normal calorie diet the next. When on this meal plan, dieters are advised to eat six small meals throughout the day, which includes three snacks. For a low calorie day snack, have half a cup of blueberries or raspberries, which is 50 calories or less.

For a normal calorie day snack, enjoy 10 baby carrots dipped in 2 tbsp of light ranch salad dressing. This snack has approximately 150 calories.

For a low calorie day snack, have 2 Hershey Kisses, which equal 50 calories or less.

For your normal calorie day snack, enjoy an afternoon pick me up that packs calcium, caffeine and protein. Have a tall Starbucks Latte with fat free milk or a grande cappuccino with 2% milk, each have less than 150 calories.

For a low calorie day snack, enjoy 15 grapes, which equals 50 calories or less.

For a normal calorie day snack, enjoy 1 medium apple with 1 slice of 2% cheese. This snack provides the body with fiber, nutrients, protein and calcium.

For a low calorie snack, enjoy ½ cup of sugar-free jell-o. Enjoy this with 1 celery stalk and 3 cherry tomatoes. This snack will be less than 50 calories.
