Who the Flexitarian Diet Is Right For

The flexitarian diet is a flexible version of the vegetarian diet. It allows you to still eat meat occasionally. There are 3 levels to this diet which are beginner, advanced and expert. You can start at any level you like, but if you have never heard of this diet, then you may want to start at the beginner level.

The Levels of Flexitarian

At the beginner level you go two days a week without eating meat, and only consume up to 26 oz. of meat or poultry during the other five days.

At the advanced level you go three to four days a week without eating meat, and only consume up to 18 oz of meat or poultry during the other days.

At the expert level you go five days a week without eating meat, and only consume up to 9 oz of meat or poultry the other two days.

Who is This Diet Right For?

The flexitarian diet is right for you if want to live a longer and healthier life! Studies have shown that those who do not eat meat live on average over 3 years longer than those who eat meat on a regular basis. You will also look younger from all the natural oils which you consume from the nuts and other natural foods.

If you want to lose weight, then this is definitely a diet that you should consider. Studies reveal that those who do not eat meat weigh 15 percent less than those who do eat meat.

Meat is loaded with saturated fats that can cause cancer, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease. By reducing meat consumption you can also reduce the risks of developing these diseases. If you are struggling with any of these diseases you may want to consider changing to a flexitarian diet to help your body heal itself.

Because this diet is so flexible, it is great for those who want to follow a vegetarian or vegan eating plan. It helps them to achieve their goal without feeling guilty when they can not stop themselves from eating meat or consuming other products that are derived from animals.
