While it’s healthy and essential to drink water when you diet, not everyone is a big fan! However, proper hydration is essential for a successful low fat diet and most others too. Add a Squeeze of Lemon or Lime

If the water is too bland and you’re craving some flavor, try a squeeze of lemon or lime. It will help quench your thirst and add flavor, but not add calories.

Making lemonade or even orangeade can be a great nutrient and energy booster, in addition to getting you the water you need. Make your own and use a sugar substitute to prevent adding lots of calories. Be cautious of ready-made lemonades, as they often have lost of artificial colors, flavors and added calories.

Choose Decaf, Unsweetened Ice Tea

Not only is unsweetened decaf tea high in antioxidants and water content (without unwanted calories), it is also without the caffeine that can actually contribute to dehydrating the body. Caffeine acts as a diuretic in the body and can increase urination and dehydration.

When looking for drinks high in water content, always read the labels to check for calories or added sugar!
