Apple shaped people carry the majority of their weight around their mid sections. This excess fat goes deep and will surround the vital organs of the body. If this fat becomes too excessive, serious conditions can occur. To combat this fat, apple shaped people need to do a lot of cardio workouts. Cardio will burn off the fat reducing their risk for complications. There are a few different exercises that apple shapes can do to achieve results.

Stair Climbing

This is an exercise that can be done either indoors or outdoors. This can be done in a gym or in the privacy of your home. The exercise is simple; you walk up the stairs and then back down the stairs. Or if you are using a machine, the machine simulates this motion. Stair climbing is an excellent cardio workout and will burn an average of 10 calories per minute. In addition to burning fat and calories, the muscles of the legs and hips will be strengthened. Muscle also burns fat, so the more muscle on the body, the more calories and fat that will be burned.

Walking Incline

Walking is one of most common exercises out there. It is simple, easy and almost anyone can do it. Walking can be done by beginners as well as experienced athletes. No matter what your fitness level, this exercise will burn fat and calories. This will also strengthen the muscles of the legs and the core causing continued fat burn. Walking on an incline helps to increase the amount of calories burned. The incline will increase the amount of energy that needs to be expended, increasing the intensity of the workout.

Running

Running is an exercise that is a step up from walking. Running can be done by almost anyone and will have a high calorie burn. For people who want to burn a lot of calories in a shorter amount of time, running is the exercise to do. Because a large amount of energy is needed when running, a higher amount of calories will be expended. For a beginner, there are programs to follow to be able to run long distances. Running, because of the amount of energy that is required, is not easy at first. But even in the beginning stages, a large amount of calories and fat will be burned. 

To get rid of fat, a lot of cardio exercise needs to be done. There are many different types of cardio exercises and the exercises that burn a large amount of calories in a short amount of time should be focused on by people who have apple-shaped bodies. These exercises will yield the most calorie burn for the amount of time. People starting out exercising should start slow and build up their endurance. Not everyone is conditioned to start out with a rigorous exercise plan. Start slow and build up endurance and strength and results will be seen.

    hi i have an apple shape body , i am overweight and got thin legs. Whenever i do too much of cardio exercises , my legs take most of the stress and exertion as the entire weight falls on them. also i tried aerobics and the aggressive workout from aerobics injured my legs joint a lot.

    I am shaped the same… I hate the treadmill, bothers my legs. I wear heels a lot, I think that’s why my calves hurt (could prob use professional sneaker assessment for exercising). However.. I lost a ton of weight on the elliptical machine instead… 50 pounds!… and it was sooooo much easier on the legs. :)
