The Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet

The Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet is a 14-day diet that includes 11 meal plans and three cheat days. While there is no specific creator of this diet, the diet is based on an online website. The Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet states that individuals can lose up to 9lbs in 11 days on the Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet. This online-based diet has two plans: The Budget Offering and the upgraded Beyond Calories option.

The Premise

Based on the concept of calorie shifting, the Budget Offering of the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet has individuals constantly eating different foods and a different number of calories, which supposedly confuses your metabolism. This confusion apparently leads to weight loss. According to the theory of the Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet, the body always tries to burn the exact number of calories that you eat a day. Therefore, if you shift your calories, your body gets confused and begins to burn extra fat.

Additionally, the body is controlled by fat burning hormones. The Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet is designed to manipulate these hormones so that the body will produce a greater quantity of these hormones to burn more fat.

The Diet

On the Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet, you will be eating four small meals a day, with a minimum of 2 ½ hours between each meal. After 11 days on the meal plans, you will have three days off where you can “cheat.” By applying some self-control, no food is considered off limits during this phase. To avoid overeating, this diet advises that you simply “eat short of being full.”

The Beyond Calories option has individuals eating six small meals a day, separated by 2 to 3 hours.

The meal plan for Fat Loss 4 Idiots is composed of lean proteins, vegetables, fruits and fats from whole food sources, such as eggs. A sample day of the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet includes:

  • Meal #1: Oatmeal
  • Meal #2: Fruit Salad
  • Meal #3: Fish Filet
  • Meal #4: Cottage Cheese

The Fat Loss 4 Idiots has you using common sense when it comes to portion control instead of strict calorie counting. In addition to calorie counting, you do not need to count carbohydrates, fat grams or protein grams on this diet.

Unlike many other diet plans out there, the Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet does not have you buying any specific foods or supplements. You are able to prepare your own food and eat the foods that you like.

Things to Consider

According to the Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet website, you must follow their recommendations exactly to experience weight loss.  Also, the Fat Loss 4 Idiots cost approximately $27 every two weeks, which can get expensive for individuals who want to remain on this diet long-term.

Exercise

The Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet recommends 40 minutes of exercise a day. Walking is acceptable. If you cannot fit in 40 minutes, the diet recommends two 30-minute walks a day.

Verdict

The theory behind the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet is not based on any science. Instead of counting calories, which has been proven to help in weight loss, the diet requires individuals to use intuition to limit portions. Additionally, a loss of nine pounds in less than two weeks sounds too good to be true, and may actually be unhealthy. When looking for a diet, find a plan that promotes well-balanced meals, portion control and exercise.

I actually love this diet. First of all, the cost is a one-time cost, for lifetime access to the diet generator. All you have to do is sign in, check the foods you want to include in your 2-week diet, and the diet generator will generate your meal plan for the full 11 days for you. I do this diet every time I have let my weight creep back up for quick weight loss — it cuts cravings fast, the weight really does come off (I usually lose about 8-9 pounds in the 11 days), and after 2-3 pounds come back on at the end, the weight stays off (until I indulge in birthdays, holidays, etc.). OH, and I don’t usually exercise AT ALL while I am on this diet, and the weight still comes off!

It’s difficult to review a diet if you don’t even try it or look at all of the information. Please keep that in mind….
