I've now been on Medifast for one month and am shocked to see that I have lost 20lbs! It is an incredibly easy plan. The food is diet food, there are no 2 ways about it. But with that in mind I have found my regular favorites and pretty much stick to them every day. I personally enjoy the oatmeal (yes it is somewhat bland and sticky) love the brownie, the peanut butter bars, the pancakes both original and spiced and the crisps. The pretzels are OK but a little dry. I do find that if I am hungry or need food in my mouth I have a little extra protein during the day to satisfy me. I also find that when I receive my supply of food I take it out and group it in 5's in zip lock bags. This way each day I just grab a bag and know what I am eating for the day.
Good luck to you if you are going to give it a try.

Picking the right diet may be really difficult because of the number of things we need to keep in mind. But we also need to remember to pick a diet that best suits our way of life and tastes, that way we will tend to stick to that diet much longer.

I tried the diabetic package, ordered the one month box and it took about a week to arrive. Considering that it's 'diet food' I found the taste OK. Not great, but not bad. And, I loved the snack bars...which you are limited to one a day.

Now for the 'but'........after a few days I developed horrible, daily diarrhea. Googling all the ingredients, I narrowed it down to the sugar alcohols which are in almost every product. I'm not lactose intolerant, and I've had soy products before, so it was the sugar substitutes that did me in.

I was very disappointed as I'd lost 17 pounds in 10 days. I've done some Googling, and may retry it along with taking Imodium and more greens.

After reading the article on the Medifast diet plan on this site, I decided to try the diet. I am a diabetic and perhaps that is what the difference in the food was as compared to what you tried, the regular Medifast foods. I was excited and ready to get the weight off and couldn't wait for the box to arrive. Unfortunately, the foods all had a smell that was hard to get past my nose and they all were so sweet that I couldn't stand them. I stayed on it for a week and by the end of that time, was totally nauseas at the thought of eating any more of it. The shakes were bearable (although too sweet), and the snack bars were horrible. I did have weight loss and was happy with that, however could not continue on the diet. Returned the unopened boxes to Medifast and they were great about providing a quick refund.

I was really disappointed in the foods however.

All in all, however I was glad to have tried it and appreciate the 3FC's practice of trying the diets themselves and writing about it. While this diet was not for me, I think that the information was really helpful.

Thanks, Linda
