Oprah’s Boot Camp .... by
I know I haven’t written in awhile. Here’s what’s up. I’ve been slacking the last two weeks on excersise. I knew that today I would start oprah’s boot camp challenge at my gym, so this weekend I indulged to the fullest. I had beer , icecream cake, and cheeseburger at my friend’s birthday party. I also indulged in jello-shots a plenty and margueritas, something I rarely do. Sunday it was lunch at Outback, and then a late dessert at Cold Stone Creamery, topped off with a dinner of nachos. :::Sigh::::
Today was the first day of bootcamp, and I really shouldn’t have been surprised when I stepped on the scale (with all my clothes on , and sneakers) and weighed a wopping 136 lbs. Without the shoes and clothing I probably weigh close to 134. I was pretty angry at myself but quickly got over it as I powered through my workout. The Oprah bootcamp lasts 5 weeks. I’m really pushing myself because I’ve never tried anything like this before. The rules seem simple , but as I found out today are alreday challenging. No eating white stuff, no eating three hours before bed, and the the copious amounts of excersise. Today after my somewhat upsetting weigh in I did half hour on the eliptical machine, then 20 minutes of free weights, and crunches on the ball. I’ll keep my journal better updated to let you know how I’m doing during the five weeks. Did I mention , no more alchohal, or refined carbs. The one break is you can have one or two cocktails or glasses of wine or one refined carb like a piece of cake only three times during the 5 weeks. *yikes*
