“Finally an Answer”, November 15 .... by kotapaint
Today is Puppy Day and I have mixed emotions. I’ve “done” puppies many, many times and hate the thought of all the work but know I’ll be enthused and excited when it actually happens. It can’t be as much work as when Hershey and Lucy each had a litter (7 and 9) two weeks apart! I always made sure my pups were well socialized so they had lots of running free time in the back of the house. Because of the age difference, I couldn’t combine the litters for playtime so they did shifts. It was pretty wild - and messy! By the way, I do have to change the name - Taz would become Tazzy and that’s Aussie slang for ! He’s only 4½ months and really doesn’t know his name yet so it won’t be a problem.
Enough for now. He arrives in 45 minutes so I need to get dressed and gird my loins!
Hey everyone! So as I said in my last email, am now in scotland ( moved here as this is where finance is from) so far am enjoying it. Waiting to hear back from different jobs, I need to work! The boredom factor is not doing my weight any good! I have gained, but im back to my calorie counting and hopefully can check it off before my friends wedding!
And there’s already a bunch of bananas in the freezer because of the “all ripe at once” predicament. Very tempting to make banana bread. Or banana muffins.
hello everyone! hope everyone is well! i’ve been MIA for a couple of weeks. not really sure why. probably just b/c things have been blah. actually, work is pretty boring and it really affects my day. oh well. i’m still grateful to have my job so that’s enough harping about the job.
Yeah it’s Friday! I have been waiting for this all week! Yesterday was not a good day.
My sis has been out from work sick for the last few days. She finally came in yesterday and she looked horrid. She went to the walk in clinic and they sent her immediately to the hospital… ICU. She is pre-menopausal and she has been having very long heavy periods. They tested her blood and she had a hemoglobin of 6 where normal is 16. (Means nothing to me, other than that is bad!)
They gave her two units of blood and they are either going to do a hysterectomy this morning or a dnc and coterize. Mom was of course freaking out and her worthless children did nothing to help. Her three boys 28, 22, and 20 didn’t even bother to come to the hospital to see her or call to see how she is doing. They all still live “off” of her. One of them had the nerve to complain that she didn’t go shopping first!
Hopefully all will go well today, and if she has the DNC she can go home tonight. If she has the hyst… she has a couple more days in the hospital.
To top all of that off, three of our customers informed us that they would not be able to pay us this week. So I have to cover payroll out of my own account because our line of credit went down with WAMU.
Then DH’s union is asking the member to approve a strike vote because they don’t feel that the company is bargaining in good faith. A strike in December! In this economy! I am not anti union, but this just seems like some twisted game that both sides are playing.
So I am very excited that it is Friday. I wish that I could push pause and keep it at the weekend for a while. Sunday my good friend is coming up so that will be nice to have a distraction. We are going to take them to the barn to meet our new horses. Her daughter is 2 and loves horses! So we will let her ride the pony. Well ladies, I better get in the shower so I can get to the hospital. Have a great weekend!

This will have to be another quickie...I’m organizing my office and it’s true...it gets worse before it gets better! LOL
Boring stuff first...yesterday food was good. Didn’t have time to nibble (you’ll see why in a sec) so that was great. Hoping today will be just as good...it should be, though. Tonight we are going to a comedy club with some friends and then out dancing. It’s something we haven’t done in awhile and will be a fun night!
Drum roll.....WE GOT A PUPPY last night! He’s a little bloodhound/coonhound mix and is ADORABLE. The vet said he should get to be 30 to 40 lbs. We named him Leeroy. It’s so funny that DH came up with that name because he looks JUST LIKE a Leeroy. There couldn’t be a more perfect name for him. It was a little of a rough night, but I went to Walmart this morning and got the things we found we needed last night, so it’ll be easier from now on...and DH and I can reclaim the bathroom (always a plus!).

I cant wait! I have my advanced tickets all ready to go! Welp i called out sick from work today (i didnt feel like going in for 3 hours and i have plenty of stuff to do here) Hubby and i might go to the movies tonight since we have those free passes.
the plan for today is to get a shredder and go through our file cabinet. Ive decided that theres really no point in keeping every single bill or paycheck stub. Im going to make a file with end of the year or end of the job stubs and the current months bills that i need to pay and shred everything else along with all our credit cards that we decided on previously. We are only going to keep 1 credit card (for emergancys), our gas card, our bank card, and then hubby is keeping his jcpenney card. Then we are going to pay off our cards in this order. first the oned that have a balance below $100, then we are going to start with the one that has the highest interest rate (which also happens to be the one with the highest balance), and then work our way down acorrding to intrest rates. And just around the time we are done paying those off… we need to start paying hubbys student loans off. Will this never end???? LOL

Long time no see, really just here to keep my journal options open. Not much has changed , kids are good DH is good work is work and mee well like I said not much has changed . HUGGGS and love to all !
