A sea salt cleanse is the safest, easiest and most economical way to wash the inside of your body. It is very effective in liquefying the buildup along your intestinal walls and removing it from your system. Even though the cleanse is hard on the body, it is well worth it, because you will feel much better and have more energy after.
Preparing for a Sea Salt Cleanse
You should plan to do the cleanse on a day when you will have lots of time in the morning. It should be a day when you will have full access to the bathroom, and no errands to run as you will need to stay close to the bathroom.
If you are struggling with constipation, then you may want to take a natural laxative like psyllium or prune juice at least 1 day prior to the cleanse. This will help loosen the bowels.
The night before you should have a light supper to make it easier on your digestive system the next day. Do not eat right before you go to bed as you want your food to be somewhat digested before you start the cleansing process.
Preparing the Solution
To prepare the saltwater solution, simply warm up 1 quart of water to your desired temperature. If you want to bring it to a boil you can, but it is not necessary. Then add 2 tsp. of unrefined sea salt to the warm water and stir until it dissolves.
Drinking The Saltwater Solution
Once you have your saltwater solution ready you should drink it on an empty stomach. It may be difficult to get the salty water past your tongue, but you should try to drink it within 45 minutes. To help you better deal with the taste you can add some lemon to the water, plus you may also want to drink it with a straw as it will help to keep the salt from passing over your whole tongue.
During The Cleanse
You should lie down on your right side for 30 minutes to ensure that the water will flow from the stomach into the small intestine. You may also rub your stomach or do light exercises to stretch your lower back and stomach.
Between 30 minutes to several hours of drinking the saltwater solution you will begin to feel an urgent need to go to the bathroom. You will have anywhere between 3 to 7 movements. Do not eat anything until your bowels have relaxed and stopped moving.
After the Cleanse
Once your bowels have relaxed and stopped moving you can continue with the rest of your day. But avoid eating foods that are high in saturated fats, spicy foods, junk foods or anything heavy. But rather you should consume foods which are high in fiber such as fruits and vegetables as they will not hinder your sea salt cleanse.
You can do the sea salt cleanse up to 10 days, but because of its effectiveness you may only need to do it between 3 to 7 days. The sea salt cleanse is natural, but if you have any medical or health issues you may want to check with your doctor before starting this cleanse.
