Take the family to the beach. It is probably one of the kids’ favorite summertime activities, and it can be good for the whole family.
Take the family to the mall. It may sound crazy, but if you have girls over a certain age, they love the mall even if you’re just window shopping. If they are younger a trip to the zoo might be the way to go.
