If you are looking to make changes to your body and burn fat fast, follow these simple tips. It’s not impossible to make positive changes, and it can even be a fun challenge. Most of all, learning to keep the fat off for good will increase your chances of a longer, healthier life.
Okay, it sounds obvious and you were obviously expecting this one. However, there are some things to remember about exercising that will increase the fat burning process, and assist you in making long term changes.
Do it first thing in the morning. You already know you have to include exercise in order to lower body fat, just make sure it’s the first thing you do every day. Get out of bed, put on your sweats and shoes, and go for it. Waking up a half hour earlier will be worth it.
Exercising before eating allows your body to pull its resources together and burn the accumulated fat. This is because your body has spent the night burning up all the stored carbohydrates and has to use another energy source. A 30 minute walk is all it takes.
After your 30 minutes of exercise, be sure to eat a good, healthy breakfast. Include lean protein, such as an egg white omelet and lean Canadian bacon. Include fruit and water with lemon; that will give your body exactly what it needs to keep burning the fat. This will also contribute to a feeling of fullness, and it will prevent overeating (and munching on sugary snacks).
Many people are lacking in their daily fiber intake, and it’s really easy to change that. Eat oatmeal a few days a week for breakfast. Increase your intake of legumes and leafy greens. Try protein bars or shakes; they usually have a high fiber content. Fiber is important because it assists your body in the fat burning process.
Eat Your Fruits and Veggies
You’ve also heard this before many times, but probably for the nutrition benefits. Now you have another reason to eat them. Lots of fruits and vegetables are actually catabolic foods. Catabolic foods are foods that burn more calories than they even supply. In fact, when it comes to eating these foods, you can just forget about your calorie calculator, and eat to your heart’s content.
Some examples of these foods are:
- Blackberries and Blueberries
- Lemons and Limes
This list is not all-inclusive, but is a good sample of foods to increase in your daily diet.
There are also some common sense changes that you will have to make in order to gain long-term results. You will have to say no to the high fat, sugary, and salty snacks. Keeping the fat off takes a lot of hard work and self discipline!
