You can achieve your cardio goals by jogging outdoors or taking up a sport, such as swimming, tennis or basketball. Weight lifting is an important part of a total workout program. Heavy weights are not necessary. You can use light weights with higher repetitions to achieve the same effects.

Diet is an important aspect in losing the one to two inches in order to drop a pants size. Consuming a diet that is low in fat and calories and high in fiber and protein is essential.
