Default Oprah's Boot Camp/ Take 2 - Week 2

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, Monday morning. Went outside, worked in my clay soil gardent with a PICKAXE, that's how hard the ground is, came inside had a boiled egg, two turkey sausages (they're like a staple now) and probl. 1/2 cup of applesauce.

I'm pretty optimistic since I have no (well, very little that is) desire for bread and chocolate, my two arch enemies!!

Cooking is so much easier because I don't have to worry about burning rice or overcooking pasta. My DH says he doesn't miss the starch, so that's good.

How is everyone else doing? Stay with me ladies!!! I need your support!

I lost nothing this week but I am not too worried about it because (1) I just started on Wednesday and (2) I cheated Saturday night and Sunday night. Last night I went to a BBQ and the only thing bootcamp there was brisket. You can only eat so much brisket, so I ended up cheating. I am swollen up today because that brisket must have been marinated/rubbed with a lot of salt.

Today I am doing much better at getting back to eating right, and I went to the gym this morning.

This coming weekend is going to be difficult too. I am going out of town and I'll be around some family that I don't exactly want to discuss bootcamp with. Also, I won't be doing any of the cooking. I'm trying to work at doing very well with the food and working out all week before that so maybe the damage won't be so bad.

Sorry,

I'm a few days late checking in. I have been really busy with the new job and all. I did not lose this week. But im still going to stay on track. I will be leaving for California on saturday. I hope I don't overdo it. Well I will talk to you all later.

Oh and I wanted to say that you two did a geat job this week. Weightloss is not a easy task, but as long as we continue to support each other we can succeed.

GREAT JOB FELLOW BOOTCAMPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a good week last week - I did miss one workout, but I also lost 2 pounds. Last week there was a ton of tempting food around so I feel good about it overall.

This week and next week are going to be tough since I'm traveling, but I'll do my best.

Don't worry if the scale isn't moving. A bunch of things - salt, bloat, soda, humidity -can make the scale fluky. Eventually it'll cooperate. Let's all just keep chugging along and the scale will catch up to us.

How is everyone doing this Thursday? I've been on and off, but mostly on. I've fallen way behind on my water consumption and I'm struggling to keep up with that.

Does anyone feel hungry/dry-mouth an hour or so after they eat? I have been eating mostly all the right stuff, but sometimes I still feel hungry. Is this all in my mind?

Are you getting fiber at every meal - fiber slows the absorption of food. If you're getting hungry in an hour, it sounds like you need to slow it down. If you are getting enough fiber - well I don't know.

Hi everyone,

I ended up going out of town for a funeral for 5 days. I did really well in the beginning of last week, but then I was subjected to what was at my parents' and different family members' houses all weekend long.
