I wish he would have one of these shows on every week!! It is so inspiring to see average everyday people losing weight through hard work, healthy eating and exercise in a safe and healthy way. Time for me to take a hard look at what I am doing. I'm going through some upheaval in my life with changes with work but that is not really an excuse. Even if I can't get to my exercise the way I would like I can still eat a heck of a lot better and drink more water.

I watched it as well and it really made me want to do the rapid start plan again.
I have "fallen off the wagon" to put it.. and I realize now that i am Always hungry! i cant help it- its like this unquenchible hunger that i just keep looking for stuff to eat. I recall that when i did the rapid start plan, the first couple days i was hungry and i would jsut keep eating veggies or fruit as a snack, but after I would say- 3 days I noticed that i didnt even need a snack anymore, but i was eating it jsut because i should snack and i ws eating less at all my meals too and feeling full. It was so nice! I am completely motivated to get back on the bandwagon and get this stuff of of me that is weighing me down physically, not to mention- mentally!

And here is a thought- i hear over and over and over again that they best thing someone can do is take a walk. I hear of many people just started walking once a day and then slowly jogging a bit.. which i am doing.. and eventually you loose enough weight to run the whole way.. and it is so invigorating. I am still in the walk/run mode, and i dot go for very long since i usually go after dark and well- I live in Wisconsin (it's cold!) I jsut go around the block once with my daughter all bundled up int he stroller- she loves it, but jsut a thought for those of you who are stuggling to find something to do for excercise that you dont dread.

take care!

Angel-I love to walk. Maybe I am putting too much pressure on myself to do all this exercise all at once. Maybe I just need to start small. I know what you mean about cold! I can't walk at night though b/c there are no sidewalks where we live so it's not super safe to walk during the day let alone at night.

The roads are so narrow people drive halfway on the wrong side and they are so curvey you can't see anything around a corner. The paved roads are so narrow half the time you are off teh road when another car is coming in teh opposite direction so you have room to pass each other. That's the paved roads, the dirt roads are often one lane and if another car comes you litterally have to pull into a corn field to let them pass. But usually on these roads you only come across tractors, still someone has to pull all the off teh road to let the other get by.

But with spring comeing Is hould be able to walk after the kids leave. My neighbor and I like to walk. NAd maybe I can take the kids up the hill during the day, no cars to worry about and it's a work out and they will burn some energy!

Misty, have you ever tried the tapes made by Leslie Sansone...Walk away the pounds? She has a bunch of them, and many of them are really good for walking in the house. If you check at Videofitness.com, they even review them so you can tell which ones are good, or at Collage.com, where they sell them, they have people giving comments. I have one, can't remember which one, that I used alot during the winter when my treadmill was broken. I think Target used to carry them, don't know if they still do, but I bet Walmart would have them.
