Hey Misty - great work on organizing this thread. I'm a little worried about tomorrow's weigh-in, hoping to be a loser! Today went well - played tennis and did my weights (upper body and lower body, to make up for a couple of missed days).
Check back in tomorrow a.m.!

I weighed in this morning and considering that I only did 2 workouts and 3 good eating days I lost .4 lbs. Really I'm just happy that I didn't gain!! This week will be much, much better so I'm hoping next Mondays loss will be a bit more impressive.
We got a ton of snow last night so I'll have an extra workout today shovelling particularly if the plow is around before I move the car!

Hey all
Sorry Jen I was standing at my mom's computer, b/c she had no chair, and dealing with 6 screaming kiddos. That was just the begging of this horrific day. Lucky me my mom needs me until 8 pm on Wednesday istead of 3 pm! Superb job on the loss though, a loss is a loss!
Katy way to go!!! Great job on your 2.5 pounds, but more so great job on "owning the number"! It takes bravery sometimes to see that number in print for everyone else to see. I am proud of you!
Well I am still on the verge of tears and a mental break down after today. I can't even begin to explain what happened. So I am going to shake it off and read a book. I am emotionally and physically sapped so I will exercise later.
Have a super afternoon all, I know I will now that I am home in my cozy home with peace and quiet!

Misty, I have a 3 1/2 year old that drives me mental some days, I can't even begin to imagine having to cope with 6!!!! I sure don't blame you for wanting some quiet time.
I got to the gym this morning and did 32 minutes on the elliptical machine and about 10 minutes of weight machines. Then I went home and wrestled with the snowblower for about an hour and couldn't get it working right and believe me that was like having a second workout! Eating has been so-so, not sticking to plan 100% but still okay, I feel good about my eating.
Have a good night all and see you tomorrow.

UGH! I am such a horrible committer to myself:-(
I haven't done anything I said I would from my first post. I put the book away and tried to forget I was overweight. I pulled it out today and did my very first official workout. I think I am really gonna be sore in the morning, but the important thing is I DID IT!
I am sorry to disappoint you all here, I know I asked to join this group and then disappeared, but if yall will give me another chance and a swift kick in the butt, I will do better from now on for you all and mostly for myself. Thanks for listening to me whine!

Good Morning! I'm awake, exhausted but awake. On my way out the door for another round at my mom's.
Great Job on the workouts Jen! lol, I can't even begin to know how to run a snow blower. I maganiged 32 minutes on teh treadmill and 10 minutes of weights.
Brisalee, you are certainly welcome. It's hard to commit yourself somtimes. It seems like such a daunting task when you look at the entire distance you must travel. I find it helpful to focus on one small task at a time. I've worked myself up to know I can focus on several tasks but I aim for just one week. I tell myself I can get through one week. It seems to be working. We're here to lend support so please don't hesitate to let us help!

Brisalee, I couldn't begin to count the number of times I have said I was going to start some challenge or other and either didn't do it or gave up after about 2 minutes. Don't worry about it. I find that coming here and posting lots really helps to keep focused. I got Bob Greene's book out of the library and frankly I don't find it that motivating so really no wonder you put it away!
Well another day ahead of me, I've got lots of things I want to do so I won't be sitting around the house eating mindlessly. See everyone later.

Brisalee - brush yourself off and keep working on it. If you stick to it - it WILL work, no matter how many lapses you have along the way!
Misty - I'd like to report a 2 lb. loss for week 1!
Hope everyone is doing well!
