Default Food plan?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if when you started the YOU diet you used the 14 day food plan in the book or just ate similar types of food. I'm in college and it's always been hard for me to plan my meals in the past... I tend to get more obsessive and think about food more this way, so I was just wondering what others have done. Thanks!

I didn't follow the plan. I'm mainly eating a lot of whole foods and doing the exercises and walking everyday.

I didn't follow the plan either - I just subbed the whole grains and whole foods into the recipes I was already making - I was lucky as I was eating fairly close to this way already. Just needed to clean up my pantry and figure out which brands were HFCS-free.

Part of what I like about this way of eating is the flexibility - I think the 2-week menus are just to give you guidance if you have no idea what to do to incorporate these foods.

I followed the two week plan in the book to start me off...when it called for a recipe I didnt care for I just substituted it for one that I did like....and by the way I liked most of them.

Thanks guys, I was thinking of trying some of the recipes for variety but I rarely eat meat so most of the dinners probably wouldn't be my first choice. I'm probably going to go the same way you guys did Cindy and Paula. I'm also reading labels now to check for HFCS which isn't something I paid attention to before.
