Converting Recipe for Bread Machine - WW White Bread

  • I have the Weight Watchers Complete Cookbook and I'd really like to make the recipe below - it's only one point! I just got a bread maker and would love to use it for this recipe. Does anyone know how to convert it? I've tried to read stuff online regarding converting but the water, etc is confusing me (I'm really new to bread making). Anyhoo, here's the recipe:

    Basic White Bread
Source: Weight Watchers New Complete Cookbook, 1998

    Makes 16 Servings
    1/2 cup lukewarm (105-115 F) fat-free milk
    1/4 cup lukewarm (105-115 F) water
    2 teaspoons sugar
    1 envelope active dry yeast
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon fat-free milk

I know what to do after I get all the ingredients in the machine, but do I need to use powder milk instead of regular? More or less water? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!!

For Cheese bread add 2 T grated Parmesan cheese, 3/4 cup shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese and a pinch each of cayenne pepper and ground nutmeg with the flour. Cheese Bread is 2 pts per serving.
  • Does this work with pretty much any kind of bread machine?
