Help tell me what I am doing wrong. I know that I do not drink all the water. I do know for the most part I am pretty good at staying within my points. I do know I do eat lite english muffins and bread and do not eat a lot of protein. I do eat my fair share of vegetable though.
Can someone who has been losing regularly tell me what they eat.
I would appreciate all the help
Thanks lolo

Lolo, relax first of all or you will make yourself nuts.

The water is really important and without enough water in your system, your system will not release water and you get bloating. The water is also very important to keep things working properly. There are lots of postings about the detail of this.

The portion control is as important as the choices you make. So are all the Bites, Licks and Tastes (BLT). So journaling is really important so that you know where you are getting your points from.

Making a big change in your lifestyle also takes time. I have choosen to make one change at a time, starting with the easiest one first. For me that was the water.

Also, I have added 40 minutes a morning on the ski machine and that really keeps me on track with losing a pound plus a week and with keepin me on track so as not to mess up the efforts gone into working out.

It is a whole package, part of which is to keep moving forward, focusing on how you can make this work and not on how it is not working. Maybe you can write down your plan of action and seeing it in black and white may click for you.

Sending you a positive attitude and hope you do not get discouraged.

Liza

Default Don't get discouraged!

Please don't get discouraged. I think that adding one change at a time is probably the best idea I've tried so far. You can't wake up in the morning with a whole new lifestyle, and who'd want to? Not me! I wouldn't know who I was anymore.

The water was a hard one for me because I don't care for water and because Diet Dr Pepper just tastes so good! Ack! But I can't lose any weight that way, as evidenced by the 50 pounds I've gained over the past few years.

I make decisions about what I'm going to eat before I get hungry. That keeps me out of the Chex Mix.

I drink water at room temperature or close to it, and I get as much of it down at a time as I can.

I eat blueberry bagels instead of plain ones - it's worth the extra point. Veggie burgers, salads galore and 0 point soup make me happy.

Can I suggest Lean Cuisine french bread pizzas? They make me feel like I'm eating something terribly naughty, but they're only 6 points!

I hope this helps!
