Homemade tracker
I do weight watchers online, but I do not like the online tracker, nor the one they sell at the meetings. Does anyone have a template for a homemade 3 month paper tracker?

Hi Amy I have something I made with a publisher file that I have used in the past and I will be more than happy to send it to you but now I track on myfitnesspal.com it breaks down all my food choices with the nutrition value so I don't have to look anything up

Thanks, I will take a look at the web site. I don't have software that reads publisher, unless it reads like a *.doc. BTW, how do you figure out points at this site. I think I have been there before?

You can't figure out points on MFP. Points are strictly a WWs tool. Also, I would not publicly display my e-mail address on here.

I use mfp to log my foods and since I chose which nutrients to display it is easy for me to plug the numbers into my ww calculator. After awhile you pretty know what each foods points will be. Also you can put in your own receipes and when you do you can put the ppt in the title. This has helped me when calculating the entire day

Thanks for explaining how this works for you. I really do like weight watcher's, but am irritated at how much etools costs each month. Is it time consuming? That's why I end up sticking with etools, it seems so quick.

This is very quick for me they have a place where you can click for your most used foods and receint foods so you do not have to search each time. Since I have been using it now for several months I have a pretty good list of foods that I just run down and click..
It works for me

I have an awsome excel program but it's not for the new program it's for the momentum program and I got it on line for free. I know I can't post links but if you are interested in the info you can email me through my profile but like I said it's for the old program but I love it!

One thing I found out recently is that the points tracker on WW has a limit of 125 items on the list. This isn't much help but I'm now going to write all my stuff on a tablet after I find out the points but one thing to remember is that a full serving of a food isn't always half the points when you eat only 1/2 of that food. Sometimes it's the same points or zero it's strange

Hi I use a PTs tracker available for iPod. I also use mynetdiary which has a great offline database. I combine the two and it works excellent. I have do e ww at home before and I switched back to it from the carb addicts diet. I'm hoping to shake a plateau.

Just curious, what is PT? I've never heard of it. Thanks

The best that I can tell is 1 point is 40 calories. Some of the issues with not being able to just double the points for two servings is a rounding issue. If you have an item that's 55 calories is actually 1.38 points (based upon my estimate of 40cal/point). They don't do partial points so it's rounded down to 1 point. Now, if you have two servings it becomes 2.76 points which is rounded up to 3. If an item is below 20 calories it is less than half a point which is rounded down to zero.
I could be off base with this but every time I compare my calorie counts for individual food items on SparkPeople to points on Weight Watchers this algorithm has held true.
