Back to WW after 1 1/2 year....need encouragement.

  • I lost 60 pounds 1 1/2 years ago with WW. But gained everything back and now I have a bad knee... No excuses and I'm going full throttle. Wanted to know if there's anyone out there that have ever had the same problem and lost even more on the second try? And if any good advise for the second try?
  • I did ww a couple of years ago and lost about 15-20 points then gained 55 pounds. I have now lost 26 of those pounds so far almost half way to my current goal. so good luck!
  • Thanks! I know is silly but it feels good knowing I am not alone
I work at a gym and it's kind of hard with the people around me....

So thank you and good luck to you as well!
  • Well I am on my second round so we can keep each other company! I lost 30lbs, gained 25, lost 20, gained 25......think I have had more than one round LOL
  • I'm thinking about joining again. If so it will be my 3rd round. The first time I lost 20 lbs hit a major never ending platue and gave up. 2nd time I lost 3 lbs in 3 months, was really frustrated that I didn't lost more and I was more active the 2nd time, never missed a meeting, even used the weight watchers onlineas well, was using more of the meals (cause the taste food), and worked out where the first time I didn't do either. So now, I'm debating going back but I don't have half as much time now as I did then.

I'm thinking of doing it with a friend but I'm hesitant to do it because of the time I would have available. Are you ladies doing the meeting, online or both?
  • A few years ago, I lost 51 pounds, made goal and lifetime, then I got lazy, quit tracking, etc.

Fast forward, I've gained 25 back. I restarted when they rolled out the new program. Really liking it.

This time around, I'm not so concerned about losing it, I know I will, it's maintaining I need to focus on. I've lost and gained on different programs over the years. Maintaining seems to be the biggest obstacle for me.
  • I am on round 2 of WW. But, I can't count how many stops, starts and retries I have gone through in my quest for weight loss. After a lifelong struggle with weight and three pregnancies, here I am nearly 70 pounds lighter. Weight watchers is a great tool, but it doesn't the work ... you do. You have to commit to it and don't give up. If you have a bad day, dust yourself off and keep going. Make healthy, nutritionally dense choices. It will keep you satisfied and get you healthier. You can have your treats and eat them, too. Just be sensible and always track it.

You have the key, you have to open the door and go through it. You can do it!!!
  • We can do it!
I'm right there with you! I had lost 50 pounds over three years ago and even got right back to that weight after my second son was born! However, like many others, I got lazy and tired of tracking. Quite honestly, I remember saying, "I'm sick of dieting!"

Well, here I am again today, and I gained every bit of that weight back. I'm on day 4 of my new quest to get back into that little black dress from 4 years ago. I know you can do it too - we're all here supporting one another!!
  • Im a second rounder too! Back in 2004-2005 I joined WW Online and went from 246 to right at 200. Thought I was good on my own so quit. Then started gaining, got married, gained more Now Im back on again at 222, this time with my hubby - so hopefully I can stick to it!

I know if Im disciplined I will do it, I just have to stay focused. And stay away from cocktails

So good luck! We can do it!
  • This my second time also. The first time I lost 15 - 20 pounds....then stopped and gained 50 pounds. so far I have lost 30 this second round. I know it is hard and occassionally have to take a break just to keep myself motivated.
