Does anyone know if a cake mix exists with 1 point per 1/24 of mix? I keep hearing about 1 point muffing using cake mix and pumpkin. However, all of the cake mixes that I have come accross have 2 points, not one.
I believe you have serveral answers in the W/W General Forum area.
There used to be a reduced fat cake mix (no longer made) that made them 1 point each; there is also some cake mixes that are 3 points for 1/12 of the cake mix but when you take 1/24 or 1/36 it makes it 1 point for 1 but 3 for 2, you just have to check each mix.
Additionally many of us get more than 24 (usually 30-36) muffins out of 1 box of mix thus they would be 1 point each even with one that is 4 points for 1/12 of the cake.
You can have 1/12 of a 9 x 13 cake or one cupcake by making the following cake. One store bought cake mix (any flavor) and 12 oz of any kind of diet soda. Bake as the package says. It is delicious. You can add fruit and have a two point treat. This is good and worth a try!
