Chicken confusion...

  • I like these chicken tenders, and I can't figure out for the the life of me what the points are. Tenderloins are lower pointage than tenders. They are skinless, unseasoned, no breading, just like raw chicken. They are Perdue Light or whatever. (although I don't eat them raw...lol ) Can someone help me? TIA!
  • The nutritional value ounce for ounce doesn't change. However 4 oz raw cooks up to roughly 3 ounces.

So if you eat 4 ounces cooked it will be the same value as 4 ounces raw --- provided you don't add anything that has points.

    Did I make sense?
  • I looked on .calorieking.com and I couldn't find any info on Perdue tenders. But I did find info on Tyson for raw tenders 4 oz: 100 cal, .5 g fat, 0g fiber. So 2 points using the current guidelines.
  • I googled Purdue and they list all of their products on their website

    http://www.perduefoodservice.com/pro...uctCatalog.asp

If you click on the one you are buying the page comes up with the nutritional info per piece on the product. I would imagine you can find what you are looking for there.

  • Thanks so much! I think I might be getting the hang of this!
