Question I need ground beef nurtitional info

Hi,

I saw some nutritional info on ground beef before but cant find it.

I use 1 pound of lean ground beef in my meals, I cook it in water to get rid of the fat, for the whole pound does anyone know how many points that is?

Thanks!

Heather

Also you can use the 2 following websites to get nutritional information on most anything:

calorieking.com

http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/

Default Just a suggestion.

When you pour off the fat/water allow the fat to solidify and weigh it, then subtract those calories from the total for beef with fat.

I realize that this is going to be a bit time comsuming, but you could do it once and then use the estimate whenever you cook it that way.

Actually if you look in the first link the answer is right and then it will depend on the fat content you start with. For the most part 93% lean and leaner is 1 point per ounce no matter if you rinse or not.
