Banana points
I just binged on 7 banana's and I want to know the point value of it? I know banana's are 0 point plus value. But I also know that the recommended servings size for fruits is 3-5 servings. So how do I calculate the points?

When i go to the PointsPlus Tracker it says 0 points for 7 bananas. However, when I use Recipe Builder and put in 7 large bananas for 1 serving it says 23 points (for 7 medium sized ones it's 20) :( Hope this helps, I don't know how accurate this might be as I'm a newbie to WW and the healthy track sidebar says that a serving of fruits or veggies is 1/2cup and 5 servings a day are recommended.

Actually, that is a good estimate.
I might count the first banana or two as Zero Points as they are within the guidelines, but I'd personally count the points for the 5 bananas after that. |
the banana's on the old plan was just 2 points how are they 23 points on the recipe builder?

If that person entered in 7 bananas on the old plan it would've been 14 points, but as we all know Points+ is not the Momentum/Turnaround program. Points have changed. 7 bananas show as 23 points on the recipe builder. The recipe builder also works differently from the main PointsPlus tracker. The recipe builder counts points for EVERYTHING. Including fruits and vegetables. So if a person, such as the OP, accidentally ate too many fruits for the day, they could figure out how many points the extra fruit was and count it as Weekly Points so they don't overdo it on Points for the week by eating too much fruit. |
