Default Dinning out Companion

Has anyone bought the dinning out companion book for PointPlus? I was just wondering if it is worth the money to buy since there are some dinning out restaurants available on the etools.

I haven't looked through what etools has. I like to have mine in the car so if we're shopping or something happens I have an idea of what I can grab. I also like to plan what to get before we go out. But I can also look up the ni info and figure it out from the websites of restaurants, and etools too.

I got it as part of the deluxe kit and was disappointed by it. It does not have info on a lot of restaurants that do publish nutritional information. Also for some chains it only has some items (Chili's) even though nutritional info is on the web. I think companies have to pay to get into it so that lets out lots of chains that don't do that. That said, I keep it in my purse and it is more convenient if I'm out and about and it is someplace listed there.

I say skip it but maybe Im not a big dinning out person. I was going to spiral my other one, the Complete food companion and I also have stools.

I'm not a big *let me grab my book* person before I go to eat out.

i say I'm eating out and I'm enjoying it.

I went to Not Your Average Joe' s last night for a friends birthday. I had a Sangria and some Crab Cakes and some quesadilla and some bread.

I say, the next day I'm on plan. It's living to me.. I don't really need mine.

I got it with my kit too and I have used it a few times already. Disappointed that starbucks isn't in this one, they were in the previous one.

I am disappointed by it as well. Panera is not listed...really? panera bread?? and I could do without the listings for cold stone...it has got a number of errors in it as well. I don't have the link off hand for the corrections, but there were quite a few of them.

I did buy the book but since so many restaurants have nutritional values available, if not at the restaurant, then online somewhere, it's fairly simple to use the eTools, the newest point calculators (on and offline), the smart phone tool, etc. etc. etc. to figure out the point values for the menu if money is an object.

Here is the link for the corrections:
xxxx://abc.weightwatchers.yyy/images/1033/dynamic/GCMSImages/ListCorrections.v7.pdf

Okay, it won't allow me to put in the link -
add in the http for xxxx
add in com for yyy
add in www for abc

By the way, hope nobody is upset that I found a way around the "no links for less than 25 posts" rule. I understand the need for the rule. I also wanted to help, my post wasn't spam, and if I could find my original ID then I'd have more than 25 posts.

Deborah
